If the Yammosk takes Talon's +4/+10 CE with telepathic insight, does it change to "if your squad is all VONG you get it).
The question relates to the semantics of the wording of "faction specific effects become Yuuzhan Vong specific effects."
The part of Karrde's CE that specifies fringes is the qualifier, and not the actual effect. The effect is the +4/+10 damage.
It was ruled in Kokomo that if the yammosk took that CE, then even if the squad was Vong only, it still would NOT get the +4/+1o.
Was this correct?

I'm curious to see the official answer for this too.
My rational was similar to what Jason's was, but it's more about recipient and conditions.
The recipients of that CE are "allies", so that would include everyone regardless, but the CONDITION is that the squad contains only fringe.
My understanding of War Coordinator is that it changes the recipient part of the CE, not the condition part.
Talons second CE is the perfect example - 1 FRINGE follower may move up to its speed. So that may be stolen and used by a VONG follower.
This seems similar to the situation with GOWK's CE and Mas Amedda. The "within 6" in that CE is part is the condition, and therefore is not expanded to boardwide with Mas.

Unless we get an official ruling to the contrary, Chicago regional will rule that the Yammosk only changes the RECIPIENT'S faction to Vong. If a CONDITION mentions a faction - that will not change.
