If you use recon or Anticipation or anything else that allows you to reroll the Initiative roll do you ignore the benefit of Master Tactician?
Glossery Text for Master Tactician : "Roll for initiative as normal, except you automatically choose who goes first unless you roll a 1. Tied initiative checks are still rerolled. If more than one squad has a character with Master Tactician, the player with the highest initiative roll among them chooses who goes first."
The idea is that you only get the "Tactician" bonus on the first roll.

Yeah, I believe it only works on the initial roll.

What's the reasoning behind this? and is there a Ruling somewhere I can check? Cuz it doesn't look like that at all in the text

This may be helpful: Pre-game and pre-round procedures: http://www.bloomilk.com/Forums/default.aspx?g=posts&t=14085You do not lose out on Master Tactician unless you roll a 1, so using Recon doesn't affect it. You do not lose out on Tactician, either, by using Recon. Using Recon is considered one roll of the dice - you roll two dice and choose one. It is not a reroll. You do lose out on Tactician (also Tactics Broker) if you have to reroll due to a tie. (But not if you choose to reroll using Anticipation.) You do not lose out on Master Tactician if you have to reroll due to a tie, although if there is a tie, you do have to reroll, and you may end up with a 1 after the reroll. You also may lose out on the Reserves number that you thought you had but had to reroll due to the tie.

"2. Players roll the dice for initiative. A player with Recon (or a similar ability) rolls twice and selects one of them.
3. Players with Tactician, Covenant Watch Circle or a similar ability add to their die rolls if applicable.
4. If there is a tie for the high roll, Tactics Broker and Tactician are canceled this round. All players return to step 2."
sooo. If there is a Tie the Tacticians are completely ignored for that round or just redone?

BTW that Pre-Game and Pre-Round Procedures is very well done. 10/10 for the work! (wishing I could rate the posts)

sooo. If there is a Tie the Tacticians are completely ignored for that round or just redone? If there is a tie (after Recon/Tactician/etc), then everyone re-rolls. On the re-rolls, Tactician and Tactics Broker are ignored. The Tactics Broker already defeated one of his allies - you don't get that ally back, but you no longer get the benefits of Tactics Broker. (Other than the fact that you get a reroll even though you rolled a 1... so instead of automatically losing init you at least get a 50/50 shot on the reroll.)
