does a character with augment healing augment his/her own healing abilities??

No, as a character cannot be their own ally or be adjacent to themselves.

but a character can heal themselves? and that says adjacent??

No. For one thing, you do not count as adjacent to yourself.

i gotcha, in the glossary, it specifically says that heal can be used on yourself, so that bypasses the adjacent thing
