Dark Master doesn't say that it is only limited to a Force User, so could you do it to a droid or another character without a Force Rating? There isn't a tone of use for this, but it would be interesting.

I do think that Freedon's the only Dark Master piece who's a straight out Force Battery - the other two, Dark Master might come in handy occasionally, but it's more of a bonus/emergency ability than something to build around.
