In just a few hours, a bunch of New Zealand SWM fanatics will descend upon the Silverstream Retreat in between Lower and Upper Hutt for what will be NZ's third Major of the season: LowerHuttaCon 2015.
This will be the fifth time the event has run and Dave/Dr. Daman will be looking to hang on to the title after taking it last year with a Daala squad. However, in his first Major since becoming a SWM International Hall of Famer, he'll join me (kezza) and Graham (TheHutts) as having crosses on our backs!
This will be our first tournament in NZ with the Set 9 pieces so the squad possibilities are a little unpredictable at the moment. Daala still has the ban so will we see CDOs? Republic Commandos? Neo Crusaders? Talon and Boba? In five hours we will know and I'll be sure to let you know.
Also, we're rolling for maplist at the event. We'll be using the latest 4 Restricted lists and randomly choosing two. We'll be sure to let you know how that goes. We're expecting 10-12 players, which is small for the HuttaCon, as several of our Outer Rim players (Hawera and the great North) won't be making the trip South this time, prepping instead for the Nationals in July. For all your up to date LHC2015 news, I'll be looking to text in the goodies.

And - somehow - I beat Graham 200-64 on Shipping Centre. Graham says he didn't play the best, and he did miss some rolls early. Wow.

Aaron brought out all the tricks to beat Stuart 200-154 on Asteroid. Apparently, Paul says it was the most Epic fame.
Oh, Graham says that my killing of 32 pieces in 40 minutes (almost a piece a minute) has to be some kind of record!

...and the last two: Ian won the battle of the Thugs, 154-67 on Asteroid. Momaw took out something like 10 thugs in one hit.
Daman knocks over the RCs, 177-40 on the Asteroid Base.
Now its lunch and Round follows shortly!
