I would like to start off by saying that this is simply a discussion and I would prefer that no one get Butt Hurt over what is "said" in this thread. It is a movie and not real life. A lot of cool things are happening and getting out in the open now and I would just like to have an open discussion about what people think. So, with that being said...,
I have seen a lot of things lately, through trailers, toys, books, comics, and other various media outlets about SW-EpVII and these are a few of my personal opinions, comments, and concerns.
First off, I would like to start off the discussion by saying that, I am both nervous and excited for the new movie. I have been a StarWars nut my entire life (The only movie I didn't see in the theatre was EpIV. I was only 2.) I have followed almost all the books in the Expanded Universe, so I am a little nervous on the direction the Saga will take, especially with Jar Jar Abrams at the helm. It looks to me as though he is trying to reboot KotoR. Rey kinda reminds me of Bastila Shan and Kylo Ren looks like a Revan reboot.
What are some thoughts from all of you???

Interesting thoughts and it's going to be hard to tell because someone like Davr Filoni who knows the EU material is more likely to lean on existing stories (solo children, NJO, ETC...) but here we have an entirely new director who basically rebooted the Star Trek universe. I am optimistic though and will reserve judgment for after. Truthfully it's only been lately with the merchandise launching and new teasers that I have been getting really excited about this. It's got the classic characters and they are old enough that they can set it later on in the franchise line. My biggest hope is that they don't completely wipe out the EU and still draw on enough of it to make it unique but faithful.
More specifically man those new Imperials look amazing especially the silver Stormtrooper captain. Really pumped to see what they do with the story. And hoping it's as incredible as it could be.
