Look at what I found under Darth Kruhl on wookieepedia. Kruhl infiltrated Fel's sanctuary where he attempted to take the exiled Emperor by surprise; however, Fel had been expecting one of Krayt's assassins, and the two engaged in a lightsaber duel. Kruhl was killed when Fel withdrew his concealed blaster pistol and shot the Sith Lord in the stomach. Fel shouldn't have melee!!!!!

Fel was still Jedi, lots of people carried concealed blasters. Han Solo used Luke's Lightsaber to cut open a tauntaun and Obi-Wan used Grievous's blaster to kill him and Han has never had the Lightsaber ability and Obi-Wan has never had the Blaster ability.
Minis do not always represent EVERYTHING characters have ever done.

Kyle Katarn carried a Bryar pistol with him at all times. You can see it on Kyle Katarn, Jedi Battlemaster, but he still has melee attack.

If we stuck completely to "reality" of the Star Wars universe, should there be an inventory added to each character which can be filled with whatever they "should" have? Not to mention, shouldn't every Jedi/Sith be able to do Lightsaber Throw?(actually that last one does bother me, heh)
Some of the Scenarios rules with Attack on Endor have weapon lockers where characters can get "upgrades" or whatever, perhaps using rules like those to give a character a blaster could work? Hmm...
