I've had very little success with Lost Tribe squads, but I really like playing them. What do you think is the best way to maximize them? I'm going to stipulate that they include Sarasu Taalon and Vestara Khai just because I like the thought of pulling off Shikkar, even if Vestara isn't a top tier piece.

I think the main problem with them is that there is no real door control. Atton is out if you use the Isolationist, and satchel charge only on 9-point pieces or your offensive threats isn't that great.
My personal favorite (although not most effective) is to use the Isolationist to give multiple Dread Masters stealth and the attack boost. You do kinda have to use Keshiri for door control though.

If you're just using Sabers and Uvaks, you don't have to worry about making any other NUs Lost Tribe. Then you can bring Uggies or Jaq for door control.

A Uvak seems like a shoo-in. It's a lot of range with decent attack to hit possibly a group for 40dmg each.
Next question is: Bandon? He doesn't help a Uvak deep strike without Wyyrlock, but Wyyrlock is expensive.

Could just spam Sabers and Uvaks. And the LTIso, too, of course.

That's a pretty good amount of power, but it relies solely on Stealth for shooter protection. And Sarasu+LTIso is the door control, which is not ideal.

At GenCon, Jim used Watto/Celeste and a Sith Wrangler to give it +4/+10 unblockable. And then Pawned it with 57pt Sidious to do it twice and/or get double the range.
