I've seen a bunch of rankings, and they all seem to differ except near the bottom. I think mine change slightly every time I post them.

3. The Last Jedi
4. Return of the Jedi
5. Empire Strikes Back
6. The Fore Awakens
7. Revenge of the Sith

I generally feel like there are three Tiers - I'm not entirely sure how to rank within each tier:

Classic
Star Wars/A New Hope
Empire Strikes Back

Good/Very Good
Rogue One
The Last Jedi
Return of the Jedi
The Force Awakens

Messy but still Star Wars
Revenge of the Sith
The Phantom Menace
Attack of the Clones

My rankings:

1. Revenge of the Sith
2. Rogue One
3. Empire Strikes Back
4. A new Hope
5. The Last Jedi
6. The Force Awakens
7. A Phantom Menace
8. The Return of the Jedi
9. Attack of the Clones

And my wife's:

Return of the Jedi
Empire strikes back
New hope
The force awakens
Revenge of the sith
The phantom menace
Rogue one
The last Jedi
Attack of the clones

Very different lists hahaha, and different opinions on TLJ. I will say that they sure made a controversial movie tonhabe such a widespread viewpoints on it. Also if you add in the Clone Wars and Rebels put those one and two for me. Hahaha

A New Hope 15
The Empire Strikes Back 17
Rogue One 28
The Last Jedi 31
The Return of the Jedi 33
Revenge of the Sith 35
The Force Awakens 40
The Phantom Menace 56
Attack of the Clones 60

3 Rogue one
4 The Empire Strikes Back
5 The attack of the Clones

8 The Last Jedi/The force Awakens( I really don't like either movie so I don't care which takes the last two slots, I wish they have never made them)

3. The Last Jedi
4. Rogue One
5. Revenge of the Sith
6. Return of the Jedi
7. The Force Awakens
8. The Phantom Menace

This is a very arbitrary list. I'd rather watch any of these on any given night than most other movies.

Me too, at least the George Lucas era films

I love it when new movies come out and we do this list again

1. The Empire Strikes Back
2. Revenge of the Sith
3. A New Hope
4. Return of the Jedi
5. Attack of the Clones
6. The Phantom Menace
7. Rogue One
8. The Last Jedi
9. The Force Awakens

I could easily interchange 4, 5, and 6 though, they are all close to the same for me.

To me this one stands out above the rest

1. Empire Strikes Back

2-6 I could wake up any day and put any of these movies in any order. Today I decided A new Hope deserves number 2, but I honestly could put Revenge at number 2. I think Revenge of the Sith is a severely underrated movie, with one of the best scenes in ANY Star Wars " You were my Brother Anakin!" I'm tearing up just thinking about it.

2. A New Hope
3. The Last Jedi
4.Return of the Jedi
5. The Force Awakens
6. Revenge of the Sith

I liked Rogue One, but its on its own tier. I loved the grittyness and the dirty work being done by the Rebels during it. Shows the dark side of the good guys. But its unfortunately going up against a tough set of movies IMO.

7. Rogue One

These two were only useful to fill in the gaps I think. And I honestly think TPM would've been better if the M word would've never been used, or.... Dare I say it, if the Podracers weren't there. And Attack of The Clones... Lets just leave it as the only love focused Star Wars movie

8. The Phantom Menace
9. Attack of the Clones

I am especially excited about this Obi-Wan movie... He is my second all time favorite character, and I will be keeping my fingers crossed it comes out good! As long as its not like the God-Awful Kenobi book, I will be happy I think.

Han Solo ( 2018 )
Episode IX ( 2019 )
Obi-Wan Kenobi ( 2020? )

Not sure we are getting an Obi-Wan movie. Last I heard Disney announced a film about Aunt Beru. I am guessing Obi-Wan will probably show up in that. Don't get me wrong, I would love a film about him.

I am thoroughly pleased with the attack of the Clones on the bottom of the heap.
Poor Natalie Portman.
Poor Anakin.
They suffered so bad. Padme never redeemed herself. Anakin did a job in revenge.
But man "I hate sand," the floating piece of fruit, the rolling in the grass, the fake laughs, "you are a Jedi" should have been "you are a child and I am not a rapist"
The only redeeming qualities in the whole movie was obi-wan and Yoda.
Dooku was never convincing either

I think RLM and SoA
sum a lot of this up well at this juncture.

personally?
i enjoy an eclectic, syncretic pastiche
from PT, OT, nuT, and the EU.
via dint of R Barthes, Burroughs, A moore etc,
I believe the audience is able to discern for itself what is continuity.

The Aunt Beru thing was from a satire site following the positive reviews for Wonder Woman
