Depends on the squad. Most Droids benefit the most from DAC, however, we are getting more Droids with Twin built in, so Scourge would be the smartest choice.

I'd say GGDAC is more useful overall. While GGSOTJ definantly has his uses, is a better beatstick, and is a little more benificial for those who already have Twin Attack, GGDAC's +4 to attack and defense is far more useful for all those droids with fairly low defense.

I prefer GGDAC with the plus Defense he gives to droids and lack of range 6 CE. If you aren't using droids only, he doesn't have as much impact obviously. The thing I dislike about him the most is he costs a lot and is rather fragile. I hate spending so much just for a CE (it's a great one though) since you have to keep him away from a lot of the action. Lose the CE and generally the squad falls apart. It is nice having that one blaster shot from range for him though. Of course, if you want it all, use SOTJ and General Whorm. You get the Grievous beatstick and still get twin (although no + def) along with extra attack (from SOTJ) for your droids.

Is this even a question?! GGDAC all the way. Better CE (unless you are using Commando Droids or some other droid with Twin, without the Mousies needed, and he can actually fight a little too. GGSOTJ is such an overrated beat; he doesn't even have a single defensive ability for crying out loud.

I can't answer the question except to say that it all depends on what else is in your squad. GGDAC has the advantages of being both cheaper and having a better command effect, plus Blaster, but there are times when GGSotJ and its bigger physical precence and extra attack are called for. If you happen to be using Loathsome then GGSotJ becomes a more interesting choice.

Generally, I would say General Grevous, Droid Army Commander is far seperiour to any other incarnation, as twin has a wide droid base to affect and enhances defence as much as attack. Plus 57 will be all that you pay, with the other, you probably need to spend more points on mouse droids, making his cost more 69 then 63. Plus his defence is the wrong end of the digestive system, if you are using him as a beater against anything other then fodder, he just won't last the length of a fight.
All in all, theres better ways to give droids double and none of the droids with built in twin give me anymore motivation to run Scourge, as really, he's just a rare version for people who don't intend on going competative with droids. Grevious Droid Army commder is far greater all round, and can probably do a passable job in melee push come shove.

I'd go for GGDAC. He has more attack options thanks to his Blaster SA. Scourge isn't half bad but he costs more, melee all the way though. I'd rather play the Commando Droid Captain if I'm just after double attack for my droids.

Nearly every Droid that got Twin already gets outclassed by an IG-86.
And if you run a Grievous you want some of those in your squad.
So to make them excellent you would have to play Grievous SotJ + Whorm or Grievous DAC + Commando Droid Captain. Both combos are similer in costs and will grant you the same (cept you got other double attacking droids in your squad already, and there are not that many).
Overall i like the DAC + Captain a lot more. Its a little bit more offensive because of the Capatain and also more defensive because of DAC.
And DAC is my favorit mini overall.

I'm going with DAC because his CE makes everyoen stronger than him. Scourge will be top dog nomatter what, and he's good, I like him, he's strogner stat wise than any other grevious, but his followers suffer, and thats where DAC's strength is, the cheap followers he commands

I don't see why people keep calling him the beatstick. So what he can attack 4 times? His defence stats are poor for a figure of his cost and a small amount of HP is not going to make a huge amount of difference and loses a spanking commander effect for one that a Commando Droid can provide. In my eyes, he's lumped in the same role as Ventress in that set, a figure that can't make his points back.
