My hand is UP for Dark Times. I know, the one millionth Vader, Luke, Han, Leia, Grievous, R2, Fett, Obi Wan and Palpatine did't 'expose' themselves in this set, and I'm grateful for it. If you don't think this is the best set to date, Please say which one you think is, and explain why.

Legacy of the Force had a little bit of everything in it.

I noticed the first four sets weren't up or my vote would have gone to Revenge of the Sith. But as a huge Separatist fan and player, new life was breathed into the faction with Clone Wars. The sculpts were wicked, nice mix of new pieces with old. And also the last time we had a starter (which GOWK aside it was a wicked map and solid pieces in it). I am also one of the rare ones to like Galaxy at War for similar reasons. I also think they did a good job on making the obscure pieces VR and the ones everyone wants as the Rs. As for Dark Times it is a REALLY good set with a ton of variety, but the Sep player in me just won't let me give it the nod of respect it deserves. But if this is a sign of things to come, I am really looking forward to the future of SWM.

Rebel Storm. The one that started it all, with some of the best sculpts and paintjobs still to this date.

KOTOR for the win.
Made OR and Sith playable (didn't say competitive, said playable) and added great figures like Han Smuggler, Vader Scourge, and great uncommons.

COTF, my first set after taking a break for a year or two, tons of great Jedi and pieces in the set are still useful today!

Definitely KotOR.
Because of the broad faction support and the percentage of the set that sees regular play.

I went with IE based on the fact that I think I use more minis from that set than any other.
Lets look at it compared to my next two sets(kotor and Legacy) IE: Mouse Droid, TWBSV, Thrawn, Clobot, Kyp, Rieekan, Arica, Emp on Throne, Dash Rendar, Vader lof Kotor: Gen. Wedge, Jarael, Juhani, Malak Dlots, Han Smuggler, Shieldbearer , SHAD, WeW Legacy: Ghost Luke, Darth Talon, Darth Tyrannus Lotds, Dodonna, Fett MC, Kyle BM, Moff Nyna
In my book, IE just had alittle more good stuff.

carnorjax1 wrote:Legacy ftw! Force Unleashed takes second IE takes third My choice had to be LOTF. You just got some of everything in that set, great fringe pieces, Great & i mean ridiculously great New Republic, Got good Rebel, imps' etc. Just feel you got something from all the factions. Second i would have to say is COTF, now everythings in that including the most used piece before the mouse droid which is the Ugg Dem.

From those choices my vote was for Alliance and Empire. I hate the square bases but many of the pieces are still staples for my squad building Lando DS, wicket, Obi-FS and many pieces I still build new squads around, Mara, the Lukes.

The best pieces in that set were VAR, Revan (Not competitive), Felcor (Not Competitive) Vader Unleashed (Don't see him in the Meta all that much) VAU (Not competitive) and ofcourse.....luke Snowspeeder, the Champ. But that is the only "Competitive piece in that set, in my opinion.

Vader Unleashed is pretty ridiculous with Palpy on Throne now, VAU with Thrawn is a solid attacker with Opportunist and Lightning is always nice. VAR is still one of the best all around costed minis in history IMO, he is just solid. Not spectacular, but solid. Shaak Ti JM is one of the top 5 best pure melee figures probably every, the MotF2, Riposte, and Block in addition to almost never missing is brutal. Ozzel single handedly brought the Imperials out of mothball when combined with Thrawn as well. It was a solid set.

I am a huge fan of the Clone Wars set (brought Seps back to life and into the competitive Meta) and GaW (Cad Bane became the new Boba Fett [both are good in their own ways], Loathsome was the missing link for living Seps, and Republic got a bunch of nice stuff too). However, I think one of the best sets is Champions of the Force just because it had some of every faction (minus Mandolorians), all the pieces in said factions were decent if not good, and a lot of CotF is still really useful today (Ughnaught Demolitionist anyone?).
By the way, what's with the "(Eh)" next to the Galaxy at War option? Got something against it?
