Y'know.
Somewhere on a forum page here, the side arguement of what's good, or not good, or something like that, of the two Star Wars Trilogy's sprung up... and as a complete aside I was interested in finding out of who has seen all six of the Star Wars movies in one day. Does that modify your opinion of the different Trilogies when you see them as one story? Or not? Which order - chronological or completed order?
Anyhoo - the stage is yours. Peace.

Part of the problem with Ep 1-3 was because we already knew what was going to happen judging by the aftermath, the other issue is that it would probably look iffy as the main charcter essencally changes. Obi-Wan by ep 4 is the closest we have to a main charcter by the time Vader has fallen and the old cast gets killed off, but he gets killed off then, leaving us in the hands of a completely different set of charcters that have little relation to the first until episode 5. While it would be dramatic and epic story telling that does what is considered tabboo, (continuing the story with a new cast) it would probably be disorientating to a new audience.
I would probably have made the battle between Luke and Palpatine more dramatic though. Not quite on the scale of Yoda and Palp, but at least dramatic enough to look like a struggle between good and evil, where evil looks like it manages to succeed again, until Vader comes full circle and throws him to his death. (Though, considering ep 3 where he was shown to be capable of immense power, levitation and such, that would probably look a bit strange. So the entire battle would have to be rewritten, probably with Vader stabbing him instead, or epic 2 on 1 battle.)

I was home sick from work a few months ago and, not having seen the movies since Episode III came out, I decided to waste the day watching all the lightsaber fights on youtube. I feel like that Yoda vs Palpatine fight is the only really great lightsaber fight in the new trilogy. Luke vs the Emperor isn't as big a spectacle, but acting aside (Ian McDiarmid behaves like Gollum on meth) I think it's the most dramatic in all six movies. It's one of those less is more situations. Watch it in 1080p if you don't believe me!EDIT: Just watched the Maul & Dooku fights again. They're way better than I remembered.

you know what disturbs me most is that you forgot the clone wars cartoon series both dvd of the originial cartoon where we first saw yoda on kybuck.
You forgot the clone wars movie and season 1.
Then my answer would still be YES!!!!!
The 2nd disturbing thing is why isnt the all 6 at 100%

I've watched the original trilogy all in one day, but not eps 1-3. I've watched all the LotR movies in one day though if that counts...

I watched them overnight. Started at 9 p.m. ended at 10 a.m. We did 4 and 5 then 1-3 (like a prolonged flashback) then 6 What I hate is how easily Sidious takes out Saessee, Kit, and Kolar!

I've done all 6 of the remastered straight through. That was before the 2D Clone Wars was out. Haven't done it with those in one day, but in one week - one movie of season per night. Now I' have to add in the 3D movie and seasons.

I haven't done it yet. I usually do all three from one trilogy at a time.

I've never even tried =o( The closest I've gotten is when I watched Episode I and Episode II the night before the Episode III midnight showing.
