hi y'all!

i think people are quitting the game now and selling off their collections BC they think no one else is going to stay; its just all talk

BUT, i think a way to keep people playin and playin is to merely say "I'm not leaving no matter WHAT WotC does." IMO, this will bolster hope among us and give us courage to continue playing SWM. NEVER LET THE GAME DIE (eventually, if companies see that we all still play, theyll figure they can make some cash and sponser the continuation of SWM ;) ) !!! lol :P

in all seriousness, vote seriously. i dont want a skewed poll where people vote "yes", then leave the game a week later (im def. staying; even i sell a few pieces)

thx

I used to play HeroClix before I got into SWM, and that company died out. But then a year or so later its back in full swing. I am not going to sell my miniatures collection, even if the game dies. I'll continue to play it, as well as collect them to use in minis and the SW RPG. If it comes back alive with new rules, or different rules... I'll still try it out. I don't judge until I try it out.

The great thing about this game is that it is self contained. Meaning that even if it stops (sadly this is the case, for now) being produced, you can play the game forever.

Unfortunately there are only so many finite combinations (hard to imagine playing them all though!) and a few that are really competitive. You may want to think about having a list of squad "cores" that might have to be limited for a while to keep players from abusing those combinations.

thats why there is a thought of new "virtual sets"...IMO i think there should be vitual sets and how to create various figs for them; or what figs you can use for them...and of ocurse, prinatble cards ;)

Now is the perfect time for folks to experiment with other formats and get away from meta gaming once in a while. (I didn't say stop) Put some restrictions on builds and try out some of those countless combos, older pieces etc. There is endless fun to be had if we start mixing it up more often.

IMO an "unofficial" commitee (ex. dean) shoudl make real erratas to the game; make the meta less lopsided since WOTC cant do nothin' bout it!!! (or more like WOULDNT)

There is nothing that needs errata that new figs can't fix. I believe the general consensus is that the WOTC is the sacred cow, and will not be changed.
