I'll agree with carnorjax1 in saying it depends on the pieces, but in large part, getting Rares and Very Rares for a handful of UCs/Cs is pretty darn good. You can always buy them later if you need them.

If you are both happy with the outcome then it was a good trade. Even if you posted the exact breakdown of what you got and gave up it would still boil down to if both parties are happy then the trade was good.
At the Capital City Champs I saw a guy draft a rodian brute over a bunch of rares (and maybe even a VR) because that is what he wanted and had no use for any of the other pieces available. I also saw a couple people trading Rs (and VRs) for commons and uncommons that they wanted.

If you like the figs you got and you are not going to miss the ones you traded...it was a good deal. On the surface, I say you got a great deal.
