...about 99% of its figs are from the Clone Wars Cartoon Movies (there wereonly 2)
For example:
1. Holosid (watching dooku and asajj duel) 2. Ahsoka -- thi is the only fig that is not from the cartoon series 3. Ani on STAP -- same here, both were from the CW movie that came out to mark the beginning of the CW series on cartoon network 4. Heavy Clone (theres that scene showing these clones in ponchos in the rain in the EXACT same position) 5. GG DAC (near end of first movie and all of 2nd) 6. durge JH (no need to explain here he's fghting GOWK) 7. GOWK 8. Dooku 9. Asajj SA 10. neelvan warriro + Ani neelvan (2nd movie) 11. Quarren isolinist + Mon Knight (kit fisto war lol)
pretty much all of the set exceppt about 2-5 figs are from those movies...coincidence?

Yeah, the CE themed sets (CW and GAW) are about a season behind. Oddly, Gha Nackt was chosen as an early preview of the season.

I wouldn't consider it special that CW characters are characters from the clone wars, regardless of in which episode of what it was they appeared in.

Not too sure though that it was it's first appearanc. I've always thought that it came from the old Star Wars Republic comics.

Back when the KOTOR set came out, I bought a pack and was disappointed that I pulled a Han Solo... I was like, he wasn't in the video games, huh?
That's before I knew anything about the minis game. After that I was okay with it, but I still sort of wish that the KOTOR set had only characters from the KOTOR games/comics... at the time I didn't realize characters like Darth Nihilus were already released in previous sets...

The reason there's so many from the Clone Wars cartoon series was because they hadn't made a lot of those figures yet. Only the original Asajj Ventress, Arc Trooper, and Durge were based off the Clone Wars animated series in Clone Strike, so they had to make up for a bunch of characters missed in Clone Strike by putting them in the Clone Wars set. I don't see why it's so surprising. And with GOWK and Asajj SA on your list, both of those use the clothing design used in the new Clone Wars series, not the animated series. So technically, they aren't from the animated series.

I rember she fell off the cliff when h dueled with anakin ...

The one that faced off against the lancers had the mullet (like Episode II Obi), the CW set one has the shorter hair, and the armor looks more like the one in the movie, not the animated series. However, the new CW show did base Obi-Wan's current armor off of what was in the old animated show. As for Asajj dying: no. It was established in the EU that she survived that encounter with Anakin. That's why she's still in the new series.

Well, actually, the clone with the trench coat is, according to Hasbro and wookiepedia, from Hawkbat battalion, the ill fated task force from the 327th (Aayla's corps) that was tasked with destroying the spider walkers...
If I'm correct, only a few (inlcluding then Captain, later Commander Deviss) survived the assault (kinda like torrent company of the 501st at Teth)

I was watching it the other week and noticed an Aqualish Warrior in the corner of a cantina or something. It was funny cos I have about 8 of them and got sick of pulling them after a while.
