Which faction do you think gives the best overall experience in Dynamic Duo?
The Imperials have the most key faction definers (piece that makes the pair Imperial) although half of them are a form of Vader.
Right on their heals in terms of numbers is the Republic which is toploaded with nothing but Jedi.
Next up are the Separatists whos contributions come from six somewhat diverse individuals.
The Sith are a faction that seems to be made for DD that is toploaded with a bunch of Sith Lords.
After those four you see a big drop in numbers down to the NR and Rebels with only four characters between the two who can fill the top side of a DD pair. The Mandalorians also have few pieces that fit into DD and all the big ones of them are commanders. The Vong only have one piece that can fill a DD slot and while he is tough in the fied there isn't much to support him. And bringing up the end is the OR with no pieces over 50 points and because of that would be getting second billing to its Fringe host.

Seps. Tyrannus LotDS and Durge JH are by far one of the best dynamic duos ever.

Aside from Seps... I did really well with NR's Jedi Master Luke Skywalker/Kyp Durron. And removing Kyp to put in an Ossus another time worked great as well!

engineer wrote:Fishing for a good pair? No fishing as I know what I have to work with and can look up the individual pair ratings just as easily as anyone else. I know most of the factions have a good pair or even two my thought, and later vote, was for the Separatists. The Seps not only have jedi to fill the top billing of the DD (Dooku/Maul/Asajj) but they also have non-Jedi which is important. Most of the expensive pieces also have a good matching piece and surprising the command effects on several of them are usable by that apprentice than some of the other command effects. When three of the ten DD's that are currently rated highest come from the Seps that says they are a pretty good faction for the format. P.S. I could have included Fringe but they aren't really their own faction and have only a few purely Fringe combinations. When looking at the top beaters from the Fringe you should also see that most can go into pairs from about four different factions.

Its got 80hp its huge and with DR it will survive against shooters long enough to just be in the way so boba merc can kill stuff. In DD things with DR are awesome. Cad needs 12s to hit and he needs to hit it 8 times to bring it down. During all that boba can kill whatever.

I recently fielded Naga Sadow and a Sith Assault Droid and did pretty well.
Naga's Illusion and MotF2 and the Droid's Shields 2 help avoid taking some damage as they go for the win.

I have played against that, and it is nasty vs. many other combos. Virulent Poison +20 (save 16), on top of Naga's other abilities is pretty hard to stand up against.

Yep, definitely. That's one of the reasons why the new IG-88 is so useful, heh.
