hi guys
wondering what you would rather have...double attack, or twin attack?
now, i know most people would say twin attack; but think about it...double attack is [worth] less points, and you dont have to waist an extra shot on a scrub that youre trying to kill.
though, i know most people like twin bc you can move, then attack TWICE (kinda like GMobile) and you dond need a lot of stuff to make you versatile; as a character
which would you choose? I say double all the way lol :P
this poll will run for 7 days, then will shut down.

Twin just comes in handy more often. If the double comes with greater mobile however, then it's da bomb

Even without GMA, there are plenty of reasons I prefer Double to Twin. 1. Not limited to one target, far better to kill 2 scrubs than just one. 2. Optional. Far more strategic.

I agree completely with Sithborg...
And I real warrior fights looking his enemy in the eye, not hiding behind a wall (a la mobile attack)
I guess that means I'm not a real warrior O_O

I guess that means I'm not a real warrior O_O ok, you go do that with your han GH, cad bane, dash RS, etc. etc. without moving behind a wall and we'll see who wins THAT lol :P

I have no problem cheap shotting someone if it means the difference between my life and their death. "People always talk about dying for their country, but not killing for it." Anyways, to get things back on subject, I prefer Twin over Double attack. Not only do you get to make two attacks before/after moving; but you also get the twin on AOOs (makes people think twice about walking away), and if you have a CE that grants an extra attack to a follower after said commanders turn (i.e. Snowbunny Padme, Princess Leia, etc) the twin makes that CE even better. Sincerely, Jester007

On melee pieces, I prefer Twin. On non-melee, I prefer Double. For melee, chances are higher that you're attacking one piece, Twin lets you still pull off 2 attacks while on the move (Antares Draco vs Kir Kanos). Plus, as previously stated, should the target try to run away, you still get off 2 attacks. For non-melee, like others have said, Double allows you to pick off two scrubs, which is infinitely better than only killing one (and potentially wasting the second attack from Twin). Now if you have Double and Twin...

For starters, the faction the piece is in and what CEs are available affects which is better to a high degree. If it's NR, Separatist, Mando, or, to a lesser extent, Rebel, Double is the way to go most of the time. If it's OR, Sith, Republic, or Imperial, Twin is usually best. With Fringe, it depends on the character model. A piece with abilities requiring movement (Momentum, Charging Fire, etc.) are obviously better with Twin, and pieces with abilities that require a character to sit still (Deadeye, Careful Shot), are obviously better with Double. Shooters are generally better with Double Attack, while Melee characters are generally better with Twin. creme_brule wrote:carnorjax1 wrote:Twin just comes in handy more often. If the double comes with greater mobile however, then it's da bomb lets assume that twin comes with mobiela nd double comes with GMobile I think it's pretty obvious that GMA/Double is better nine times out of ten when compared to Mobile/Twin. creme_brule wrote:Jester007 wrote:CC-23478 wrote:And I real warrior fights looking his enemy in the eye, not hiding behind a wall (a la mobile attack) Sure, and see how long that so called "real warrior" lasts in actual combat. Sincerely, Jester007 ..but twin costs more... If we take how much an ability factors into a character's cost into account, both abilities should come out even (or nearly so). Just thought I would state the obvious before getting to my own thoughts. I think that, cost aside, Twin will come out slightly superior in most circumstances because of its added versatility. Sure, Double allows you to potentially kill one extra enemy, but Twin lets you move on the turn and doubles the power of the character's AoOs. The ability to let loose the same amount of damage on a turn, coupled with the ability to move on that turn, makes up for the ability to attack only one character in general circumstances.
