hi guys

heres a stupid Q: can you download VASSAL onto a mobile...ex.:iPod (touch/phone), Smart Phone, etc. etc.

wondering this BC then when im on the go i can play with my friend who plays SWM with me... (and id get al the maps too!)

thx help appreciated :)

Pretty certain it is a no for most mobile phones. Maybe if you run Windows off your phone...

so it moight work off of windows phones...such as Touch Pro 2?

I have windows on my phone and just have serious doubts about that working. What you will also have to have is Java.

Vassal is run by Java... So you will need that also on your phone.

I know Javascript can cause a few issues on my Blackberry. I really doubt it, but with phones they have now, you never know.

hmmm...im assuming you can download java on some phones?

i believe the DROID (how appropriate!) is the only phone that can use Java... not that i'm a phone expert. my techie co-worker said something about this a few weeks ago.

If you got vassal to work on a phone you would need to carry a microscope with you to make out anything on the screen.

thats why theres the "zoom" button ;)

but yea, theyd be really tiny lol :P
