My guess is that most of you also follow the squad discussion forum so you've already seen the announcement, but for those who don't, I introduce the Variant Squad Building League. "Variant Squad Building" means we'll be building squads according to unusual rules/restrictions. The league is actually two competitions in one. Squad designers earn points whenever a player decides a squad they designed is good enough to use in a game. Players select from among the squads that are posted and earn points for winning games. You can participate as a squad designer, player, or both. At the end, we'll have a Top Designer, Top Player, plus an overall League Winner (most points in both categories combined).

I wanted to announce it here in the general forum especially for people with little interest in squad design (and therefore aren't following the other forum) but would be interested in playing - you can be a player without being a squad designer. The league would actually benefit from people who play without designing since they'd be the most neutral 'voters'.
