Hey everyone. I was just wondering if I could get your input on a trade someone offered me. It's a big trade, and I'm relatively new, so I was just wanting to get some input. To clarify the motive for some of the pieces, I run Republic, and would like to start running Sith as well. I don't run Imperials, OR, or Vong. And if you could give me any input on some of the Sith filler I don't need, that would be great!
I would receive:

I'd do it. It seems to be a pretty good deal on your part, especially with your squad building restrictions. Kun is one of my favorite Sith Lords, and he's definitely worth the two lesser Sith you'd be giving the other guy. Those are all good Sith fillers, and the Queen and Ameda are some of the best Republic figs in the whole kriffing game. It's a shame you don't like Imps (they're my personal favorite) but that's ok. No one's perfect. The Nomi is cool, but since you don't play the OR, she's so much bantha fodder anyway. Looks like a pretty sweet deal.

If you want to run sith, I don't know that I would trade away Nihilus or Maul.
Let me look up the stats for the Dark Jedi, Dark Jedi Master, Sith Assassin, and Sith Trooper...I know personally, I would prefer running Elite Sith Troopers over Operatives or Sith Troopers...
also, let me look at Queen Amidala...
Ok: here's my list of what I would DEFINITELY want that he has to offer if I were you:
Plagueis
Kun
Amidala
Mas Amedda
Sith Apprentice
Sith Marauder
Sith Heavy Assault Droid
Mistryl Shadow Guard
Sith Trooper Captain
Sith Trooper Commander
Sith Operative x2
These are all "collectors" pieces in my mind at the point you are at: (except MAYBE the Massassi Mutants...)

If Maul and Nihilus aren't duplicates, I would try to shy away from getting rid of them...Maul is GREAT with a Sidious swap and Nihilus is a BEAST with Holosid.

I'd keep your Maul and let him keep his Plagueis. Plagueis is a really cool character and all, but one of those easily shot down at range types. At least with Maul you could run a swap with Sidious and do some major damage with that Vaapad style + Sith Rage. I mean, an extended chance of getting crits that will do 50 damage with the Rage added to it..., and then at least three shots to accomplish that. Yeah, Plagueis might be able to assure damage, but statistically Maul will have better damage output. That and the difference in cost between Plagueis and Maul is significant. Keep the lower costed Maul..., that's my opinion. Otherwise, I'd say the trade looks awesome.

Here's an idea for a Sith Swap for Maul: --Test for Demosthenes-- 57 Darth Sidious, Sith Master 43 Darth Maul, Sith Apprentice 35 Zuckuss, Bounty Hunter 28 Dash Rendar, Renegade Smuggler 15 Lobot, Computer Liaison Officer 8 R7 Astromech Droid 6 Mouse Droid x2 6 Rodian Brute x2 Preferred Reserves: (Lobot, CLO) 26 Kel Dor Bounty Hunter x2 (Lobot, CLO) 3 Rodian Brute (198pts. 10 activations) Gives you good range for swapping people around to get a nice Triple with Maul. Brutes are great swap fodder at 3 points a piece. And for a Nihilus Squad (notice the theme in this squad?? HUH??  ) --Test for Demosthenes-- 69 Darth Sion 44 Darth Nihilus 43 Kreia 13 Kel Dor Bounty Hunter 11 Darth Sidious Hologram 16 R7 Astromech Droid x2 3 Mouse Droid (199pts. 8 activations)

One option I have is reverting back to the original trade, which was his Kun, Mas, and $10 for my VAU and Maul SA.

Lol ok, I will see if I can work my magic with him. Maul was actually my first VR pull, my second pull overall, and one of my favorite movie characters, so the sentimental value is there.

honestly if you want to run sith I'd keep nihilus and maul over kuun and plageus... If you don't have mas then that's a good part of the deal, but yeah in my shoes I wouldn't trade. I guess it's up to you and your factions though

Well I'm not sure if I'd need the Sith Marauder (have 2), Sith Operative (have 3) or the Sith Heavy Assalt Droid (who needs more than 1? lol). So I could try and tweak it a bit with those.

Well, Exar is a serious beast!!! I ran a squad with him in a local tounament. I used my own special configuration and won so quickly and thoroughly that I felt like I had been pistol whipping blind kids. If you get clever with kun, you can really lay on the hurt in a very bad way.

My favorite Kun combo is him with Lumiya and lots and lots and lots and lots of Kel Dor BH's. Kun is fun with savage characters as well, especially with the new Dejarik pieces that will be coming out presently.

IMO Maul and Nihilus are in the Bottom 3 for Sith uniques, so you're not losing much from a playablility standpoint. If you played all factions, I'd be shaky, since you're getting rid of VAU. But, since you don't play Imps, this seems like a very good deal for you persoanlly (at least from what you said). If you value VAU as nothing more then trade bait, I'd DEFINITELY do this trade were I you.
