Rodian Diplomat: Diplomat SA with It's a trap: Nice combo against SS.

Painful screech: no targeting (bye bye diplomats)

Smuggler Luck: how does this work with Recon? (should submit to potential rules forum).

Enraging Screech: this is an SA so Savage does not come into play.

Some very nice pieces and abilities.

Wow, those Dejarik look actually really good. Han Solo better have "Smuggler Luck", a cool new ability like that could actually make me like him. The Rodian is good too, he can replace cammasi nobles in republic and unlike some other characters with "it's a trap" he can actually survive being close up to the enemy characters.

I also want to add how sad this is that we are still getting previews. I really want to order a case, but I just can't not knowing all that stats. And tomorrow is the last day I can order it without it coming late.

I still like Dignitaries better, but the Rodian is good for his cost. Of the 3 Dejariks, only the Ghhhk stands out to me with its auto-damage. Smuggler's Luck is cool, but costs too much to be worth building around. I hate the Slug, Armored Plates is totally counter-intuitive to Savage.

I saw the armored plates as a great complement to savage. Especially with Speed 8, it is going to be basing something in a hurry since he will be able to get there and Savage makes him run out in the open. Once there, it gets DR10 for a round or two while not moving and tying up an enemy. With only one attack (and 50% chance of extra damage) it isn't going to be defeating enemies quickly and will be sitting out there getting hit. The DR10 keeps him around a bit. I do play aggressively though and am more prone to leave pieces out there that have a chance of surviving.

I like the fact they have SAs to boost other Dejariks, too instead of CEs that don't work with the savage ones. Only downside, is Mas and Mice can't boos the range, but the Dejariks should be sitting close to each other anyway and being large helps the range a bit. Overall, not too bad for the beasties.

The Rodian is a nice addition and combination of abilities. Too bad it didn't have Affinity to OR to help that faction too.

Well, how I'm looking at it, Savage forces you to move (and can be exploited to make you move when you don't want to). Armored Plates requires you to stay still. With some careful positioning, a player could easily force the Slug to move adjacent to a piece, losing AP. It just seems to unreliable to be of much use, but who knows.

Far Outsider is more "meh" than the Taung Warrior...waste of a slot.

Windu, on the other hand, is pretty exciting. Follower, Renewal 2 and Repulse are all sweet. Reminds me more of Sith Lords though, all offense and no defense.

Aye, put simply, he's one badarse ********* that choses not to invest in defense, because he can kill them anyways. XD

Probably a swap squad figure that can either go crazy in the melee and would definately be a killer pull in the tourney. Beyond that, I think he's a mace, you can mash someones face up in it, but cannot be portrayed as a weapon of defence. Force Renewal 2 is good, but most of the time I would imaginee it would be spent making him go faster while maintaining force renewal. Plus 22 defence is really respectiful. Just strange that he's not recieved a mastery of his form, though I guess he does not need that either. As he's the only G-Canon guy who weilds it, and the other 2 beyond that recieving no coverage anyways.

In short, he reminds me a lot of the Kit from the Glaxery of War set. Pretty decent, but most people won't see the point in investing in him, not this late in the game anyways. Easpically this late in the game. Here, there has been no tourneys aside from the previews for six months.

Either way, in one on one combat, I think there will be very few republic charcters, aside from Kit, Champion Ani Grand Master Yoda, that can hold a candle to him at all. And could definately give most other Melee charcters a royal run for their money. Just only time will tell whether all that bang can translate into profit.

I'm liking Mace. He'll have enough force that you won't even need to bat an eye at using riposte on everyone that attacks you, and with Vapaad your opponent could get hit by a crit on his own turn. If they block it then you're just killing their force points. I see this as win-win.

As for the outsider he can get access to double thanks to the subaltern (or was it something else?) which means with cunning he could be doing 40 a turn without batting an eye. I'd say having an 11 point piece doing that before he dies would make it worth it.

And the dejariks get better with each piece they reveal. They may not be super competetive but really who cares? They'll be fun as all get out to play together.

This Mace is one of the few Republic major beatsticks that having Padme-Senator can help. GM Yoda is a commander so no help there. Kit has a base 11 attack unless he's in the fold. So, this incarnation of Mace will be fun to use with her. Not only can he Shatterpoint (Replace turn) but then his next attack (even the one granted by P-S) will then be a crit.

The vong in their run in this great game with little more then a whimper....how sad

Mace is acceptable, I was hoping for a CE and Vap mastery, but you take what you can get, at least he's not a complete disappointment.

The Dejarik pieces...to me they're like jar jar....Wizards had to make them good otherwise no one would use them

The Vong is okay. Nothing game shattering, but he does get access to ALL the Vong CE, including the long forgotten Subaltern. But if you are not going for the Warrior Thud Bug approach, these are a great way to swarm.

The Slug to me is AMAZING!

People wanted their Kun fodder, and they definitely got it with the slug and the Strider. Slug will move 16 squares and base something (hopefully a jedi), Strider can charge 12 squares and still get off an attack. Slug's attack is better than the strider, which is good, cause it won't get as many moving shots off with momentum (unless somebody moves away from it)

If they move away, slug will use momentum next round

If they don't ever move away, slug has damage reduction 10 because of the armored plates.

They didn't make them on the power level of Dash or cad bane or Gowk or anything. They made them playable. (Which, let's face it, large's need to be effective)

I love that the Ghkk can give its comrades with savage a +4 attack (as well as those without) I love the one with BG, too.

we shall see how these release tournaments go. I can't wait to see what I am pulling from these boosters (since you will get an average of 3-ish djarek pieces for 2 boosters)

Mace - meh. He suffers from what all of the Mace Windus suffer from. Too many replaces turn abilities. If they had given him repulse 2 instead of repulse 3 I would have been much happier with the fig. For this one, it is just a better version of Mace Windu, Jedi master. Ironically Jedi master can do burst damage out to 6 squares. He just really feels the same as that figure, which is why I don't like him as much. I just want all of the different versions of the same character to feel more different.

[Edit: I am wrong about the burst damage. I was thinking that he had force burst like Rots Vader. JM only has stun out to 6 squares. I still think this one has too many replaces turn abilities. It makes him only worth his points with swap/tow type teams]
