Found this older post on a local (Madison, WI, USA) blog.

And we keep thinking that it is only SWM that gets the short end of the stick.

DND Game Day And Why I won't be Running One on Sat, March 20, 2010

Game Day DND
So as you all know I run a ton of stuff for special events. Gamedays, LFR Modules etc. I will not be running anymore LFR modules or doing any Game Days that directly involve WOTC. I will not be purchasing any more DND related materials from them and only will be buying miniatures in the after market from a gaming store or individual.

I know other people will want to attend these events so here is what I know. I am not sure if Misty Mountain Games will be running any this year but I know Pegasus Games will be since it is on their calendar. I would recommend contacting Misty if they will be having any event but as of right now it isn't on their calendar.

Now some of you may be asking why this change, well there is a long and a short response to that. Short response WOTC has pissed me off so much and so frustrated me as a organizer that I can no longer deal with them. They have on multiple occasions failed to give me credit for organizing or GM an event that I have not gotten two rewards mailings. I know that doesn't seem like a lot but to me it is because they should be rewarding the people that promote their product.

When I tried following up with their support about this they have given me wrong information and blamed the people who organized the event for not submitting the information. Frankly that is complete bull because David Christ is the person who does the DND for GENCON and DDXP and frankly is the hardest working man there. He runs a tight ship and I have nothing but praise for him. I can't find fault in anything he has done. The same goes for the people at Cold Iron Conventions. They do a ton of WI based conventions and I have nothing but praise for them.

I think alot of the decisions that WOTC has made in the past has been questionable but they are losing audience because frankly they just don't care about their customers. They care about making a game and making money.

the irony of SWM: we hate the creator, yet love the creation.

It's all laughable. The fact that Lucas Arts/George Lucas would charge WotC so much that they would even consider letting go of something with such a huge fan base says alot about them. If it doesn't start with the word "Episode" or tie into the "CLONE WARS", Lucus doesn't care. IMHO the move to release two entire expansions dedicated to the CLONE WARS might have been a move to stay in there good graces.

But to get back on subject, WotC knew this was coming. They could've stacked these last few sets alittle better. Don't get me wrong, there's alot of great stuff in there, but another Rebel Chewie??? I've been looking for a NR one since they created the faction!!! Where are the rest of the CURRENT Jedi masters? Or for that matter what about the main "Young Jedi Knights"???
