So with each set many of us take time to notice firsts from a set, such as a first apperance and the first special ability/force power combo kind of thing, and so I persent the "Firsts from the Last." The first times we've seen something in a set in this the last set MOTF.
And to get it started I will note several things noticable using only the checklist from the setlist, hopefully leaving plenty for others with certian models and such....
We have our first real Masters of Teras Kasi video game character in Arden Lyn. We got 12 brand new races from the Taung Warrior to the Blood Carver. We got our very first Fringe Trooper character, thanks to the Chiss Trooper. This might provide a new scrub option to the many factions with trooper based commander effects. Oh and we got our first rebel Lando.
So what other firsts do we have?

Hmm...interesting observation. Chiss Troopers + FSO + GA Thrawn + Jabba, CL = +14 (w/o Squad Assault) for 30 against everything with 27 defense in cover. 16 points is steep, but it could be fun.

What's so great about the new Mace? Renewal 2 is nice, but Replaces turn abilities only go so far for a piece that has only a Def score to defend from non-melee. I'm not saying I would play General Windu, but the renewal 2, -7 pts, and follower status isn't worth the General Windu CE + Master Speed and even absorb, which I would consider better than Repulse 3, even though it's a bit apples to oranges. Heck, I was gonna do the Tarpals+Quiggy combo, I'd use Rots Mace. I would never use Shatterpoint on either of them.

Momentum from GenSky, Rolling Cleave with CommAhsoka...you shatterpoint someone, momentum in, kill them, rolling cleave through and through and through. Heck, even without GMA, he's going to be crazy fun with Skywalker/Ahsoka/R2/Panaka. Auto 50 damage on an attack to a character with Shatterpoint/Momentum. Is going to be great. EDIT: On TOP of all that, you can rolling cleave through a bunch of pawns, and THEN Padme can give him another attack at the end...which I'm pretty sure would be eligible for Shatterpoint if it was his first attack against that character that round...Mace is going to be a BEAST to kill with the right back up.

Uggie Demo wrote:exactly, I never said Mace was crazy good, but still if he is played right he'd be BEAST! But is he really that much better than Rots Mace? He has riposte, that's his biggest pro over the other follower Maces (Sorry, I don't count shatterpoint for anything personally). If you're actually LOOKING for a situation where you want to repulse, just use Kota or even that ithorian jedi. Riposte is the only reason why this one might be better than ROTS or COTF Mace, IMO. If you REALLY need mace to be a follower for some reason, well, I guess it depends. But I don't know if I'd ever pass up better force powers on the General to get renewal, especially when I'm passing out Extra Attack. Of course, this all assumes I have to use Mace, but I don't think any of them are really good enough to warrant their respective costs in anyhting but a semi-competitive game.

Just a note you can only perform rolling cleave once on your characters turn, he cannot rolling cleave from oen fig to the next. Sorry to burst yoru bubble there.

Dont forget the Chagrian MErcenary comander for an additional 20 damage for mace so he is doind 70 when using shatterpoint.

Shatterpoint, momentum, attack for 70, Flurry for potential 30-70...if crit again...geeze....and with Riposte...you can shatterpoint on one turn, move 12 on the next and if they choose to attack, riposte for the auto-crit
