after seeing all the stats now for this our final set, i feel very disapointed with the stats, every character just feels like they are missing something, for example ganner should have some kind of repulse when he is defeated (though the mini is still really good) mace is missing some kind of game changer, he seems like an almost exact copy of previous maces, lord hoth is lacking an amazing commander effect, i feel the list goes on, a lot of people say i only think this because its the last set, but i disagree with that statement, i also believe this wont be our last set, maybe just our last one for a while. thoughts?

I just want to give it a little time. It doesn't look great but I don't want to say until i do a little playtesting.

Me. While a little underwhelming, I can understand and take this set for what it is: just another set, and one that Wizards didn't create with the knowledge that it would be the last one. This set is just like any other, in that it's got some useful VRs, some useful Rs, a handful of useful UCs and Cs, and the rest is non-competitive or just pure crap. That's the nature of the beast, and I didn't expect it to change now.
Besides, we got the Dejarik pieces! Not only are more than a few of them actually useful in different squad types, but they also have good synergy with each other, so you could run a Dejarik squad and have some fun. Add to THAT the fact that you can now play actual Dejarik, and I think this set is nifty!

i think that had this set come out around CotF then it would have been different, i think some of the pieces in this set are a little late for their time. i was expecting this to be the big bang and to include pieces with not only new abilities but useful ones too. im on the fence about even getting a full case, the only piece that im after is the Ganner.

I chose "shenanigans", because there is only one right answer, and it has nothing to do with my opinion.
The question asks if the OP is the only one. The answer is "no", he is not the only one. The question does not ask for my opinion on the set.
Do I think the set is "OMG Great!", no.
Do I think the set is "OMG Crap!", no.
I think it's middle of the road (or maybe slightly below average). The things that hurt it most are it's the last set from WotC and a lot of folks had high hopes for the 'last gasp'.
I'm curious as to when the developer/s found out about the license in comparison to the development of the sets. Were there other sets in the planning stages before it was decided, and if not how complete was this set (or where in it's development process was it) when the company decided to release the license.

I am not disappointed in the set, but I think that it's just not as amazing as many of us hoped it would be for the last set. IMO, it kind of feels like GaW. There was one or two really great pieces in that set (Bane, R7), but everything else was just going to be used for fun play, not competitive. That's kind of how this set is to me.

The pieces are actually not bad (Ganner, Hoth, Jedi Instructor, etc). For the uniques at least, they just chose the worst characters. If you want a 44 point Jedi, it's not the best idea to take one of the biggest giants of the New Sith Wars and stick them on him. It just doesn't make sense.
Besides that, I do feel like there was a lack of anything with major significance to the game. The biggest one is probably the Jedi Instructor. Besides him, Hoth helps OR pretty well, Vader finally can bring in 501st, Dejariks have some cool gimmicks, but nothing that made the set stand out.

I like this set, primarily because there are no blatantly broken pieces. It also leaves a lot of opportunities for improvement in future virtual sets.

Only complaints I have about this set are the following: a) Rebels get too much love, as always. b) Jedi Instructor make Yobuck squads even more of a pain in the ass, so Yobuck will probably be even more prevalent now (ugh)

I like this set but it is not my favorite. Even though I barely play OR or Vong, they still should have made those pieces a little more powerful IMO. I am just glad that we get this last set. My favorites are Ganner, Anakin Ghost, Cay, Vader, and Han just cuz he will be fun with bodyguards. Happy gaming!

No, you are not the only one disappointed with it (i.e., I am largely disappointed with it, too). I was largely disappointed in the last set, too.
On the one hand, I don't think the new designers did a very good job with the game given what was already out there (some ok stuff, but not what the game really needed, at least in my opinion).
On the other hand there would have been much less power creep if things progressed like this all along, and it might have been a better game overall because of it. But, it did not progress like this all along, and they should have taken steps to balance it a bit more in the last two sets (even if they were not the last two sets, but especially because they were).
The major bright sides to me are that the Force Spirits ARE different than the previous 2 since they have interesting CEs (that was an unexpected and interesting surprise, as was the fact that Yoda has Affinity for the NR). I love the Rodian Diplomat, too (very well thought out but not overpowering). I'm also happy that there was at least one Vong and Mandalorian in the set (though I am otherwise disappointed with these figures).
But, I preordered a case and am looking forward to seeing what I pull. I also look forward to seeing the fan-based v-sets, and hope they keep the game going for a long time and that they are able to right what is currently wrong.

meh...the stats really seem to be lacking in this set, the dejariks are far lamer than I could have imagined. I really am not overly thrilled to have to store all of them that I will be getting in my case. It looks like the game goes out with a whimper from Wotc. The three things I am most excited about in this set, Ganner, the Toydarian, and the Sullustan. It looks like Peter Lee got a little uninspired or lazy for this last set.
The "going out with a bang" was the latest load of BS from Wotc.

to answer your question directly yes I am a little disappointed with the stats, I was so pumped for Grievous but they "Nym-ed" him. Oh well I guess I will just have to jump on the "spotter" bandwagon. Oh sorry I mean I will have to start a "spotter" bandwagon since I don't think to to many others actually use it. Sorry a bit bitter haha. Least it has cool sculpts

Whoah whoah whoah, folks, remember, you can't declare it crap until you've had time to make them work in your squads. For Example: Yoda Force spirit charges Kyp. Ganner levitates Kyp into your enemy's home base...and KABLOOEY!
Give it some time. The best players at this game are the ones who can take "meh" abilities and make them work magic. Think outside the box and rock this thing. I love it personally.
No it didn't add anything to GGDC armies or Han Cannon armies...who cares. Those squads suck to play with anyways. Old Rep uncommons are wicked!
