I was just wondering if anybody on the boards was privy to any info on this front? Is WotC going to follow-through, or are they grabbing the cash with one foot out the door?

Nickname says there is one, and he is privy to its content. When it goes up is anybody's guess.

Would be nice if he shared some of that content. I saw he replied to a few questions over at Wizos, but that was it.

He's probably not allowed to say anything about it, because of his NDA, until WOTC actually posts it themselves. RollEyes

Does it really matter at this point? The official release date has arrived and this is the last set from Wizos. I see little logic in withholding the rules insert information. Apart from further alienating the SW fans, I don't understand that type of decision.

On the flip side though, I think Nickname would feel pretty stupid getting in trouble with Wizards because he broke his NDA by leaking info about the last rules insert, because people convinced him that it doesn't matter at this point.

Also to Obsidian, that would be freaking awesome!

I agree, it would be stupid for him to break his NDA, even at this point in the game. Doing so would jeopardize any potential future work with WOTC or possibly some other company if they pick up the Star Wars license. Plus, it's an ethical issue and frankly, NickName has never struck me as somebody that would doing something unethical like that, regardless of how minor the consequences might be.

NDA or not, I've found Wizards practices to be, shall we say, questionable. They certainly haven't did the community any favors. I, personally, don't see the ethics issue here. Now obviously I've never had to agree to an NDA, but I have a hard time seeing any violation if he posted info on it.

Well, your ignorance on what an NDA actually is is leading you to make poor claims here Tirade. It's a contract. Breaking it has consequences, which depend on what the contract stipulates and so on. It could easily be jail time, hefty fines, potencial lawsuit (most likely is this), and of course jeopardizing your working relationship obviously. No point really even arguing that Nickname should do anything here. It will be posted when the web guys get to it. Nickname will talk about it he can and wants to. Telling people on bloomilk that you don't understand why he wouldn't/couldn't seems like a complete waste of time.

Oh, I know what an NDA is, Bill. I just don't see how it could be as dire as you make it sound. The biggest thing I see is the ruined working relationship (burned bridge). Contracts have been broken before now.

As for waiting on the Wizos web guys, I won't hold my breath. They manage to disappoint at every turn. Their track record is less than stellar. Hence why I find the NDA to be rather silly at this juncture. If the set has been released, shouldn't the NDA be moot? I would imagine that depends on the contract particulars.

Nickname is under contract until August I believe he said. The set being released has nothing to do with whether or not he can talk about anything. It all depends on his contract. Typically, he can't talk about any unreleased information ahead of time. Why don't you go ask him on WotC, instead of debating with people on bloomilk who have nothing to do with it at all? That would be the logical answer.

Ah, I keep thinking he has a set to set contract, instead of one original NDA. That's what is tripping me up here.

As for asking him over at Wizos, he hasn't been the most responsive lately. He has barely addressed the rules area. That's my problem with asking over there. But I will give it a try Wink. No need to keep whining over here.
