since wizards stopped making the minis, why don't we make our own? not on the same scale of course but hear me out. what if we all voted on a mini we really liked in one of the virtual sets. We could also change the stats if they seem to need adjusting. we figure out how to cut and paste some commons and uncommons together to make that mini. we ask how many people would like to buy the mini form whoever will make it, along with a high quality card printout. Then 5-10 people make X amount of minis w/ corresponding cards and voala we get a mini each month or so that would be playable in our community.

Well, v sets are going to be made. V sets are essentially new cards for old minis (which are still useable). Just remember, the majority of us have no interest in modding.

I have had some succes making some casting(raw miniatures)with a product called "Smooth-on". Nothing super sophisticated just yet, but good experiences and signs that it will be a great solution for those of us who want to creat or own miniatures in the future. Making your own miniatures isn't too hard, though it takes some talent, TIME, and know-how. Cost isn't bad, it's really how I want to proceed for myself and the local scene for both e Skirmish and Rpg games. I will be more than happy to share the process and my success and failure with those interested, in the Customs section when the time comes. Right now, I am super slammed with School, a new baby due just around the corner, a SW Rpg D6 campaign that I am starting and going to Game Master, and well life in general. I don't expect to get seriously invested or involved with Miniature creation until this Fall or Winter, when I will be more flexible on my time, and not wanting to be outdoors as much. So watch for some future information right here on the 'milk.

I've had in mind a similar project for the past few months. It started with the tutorials for the New Lost Twenty project, but I plan to continue posting instructions for other characters. Alto StratusDarth ZannahVergereCato ParasittiIf at any time I can figure out a simple way to make a character that WotC didn't get around to, I'll post a new tutorial. My goal is to keep the skill level and materials required to a minimum so that the maximum number of first time customizers will be able to duplicate my work.

I have been making my own customs now for about a year. I have been using Heroclix, SW Minis and pretty much any toys that catch my eye. I like the idea of new stat cards for older, obsolete pieces, though. I should post pics and the stats of the customs I've made, but here's the list so far: Battle Droid Squad Delta Squad Omega Squad Darman Emperor Reborn Darth Zannah Arden Lyn (Fringe piece made before MotF) Overlord Shimmra Plus, I have also made pieces that represent myself and all my friends if we were SW characters.
