kfc's waiting for you and I just finished a quick Vassel'd 100-point game. I ran Luke COTF, RS Obi-Wan and a Jawa Scavenger and he showed up wi' Bane *shudder* and 3 uggies and a R7. I was expecting to lose the whole game... he obliterated Obi in one turn (as was expected) and then it was now 180-HP Bane against lil' ol' farmboy. Luke moved in to end the round and Used the Force (plus rolled a 20 on the Flurry), and then I won initiative and then proceeded to Use the Force twice and Bane was gone leaving both kfc and I flabberghasted and not quite sure how that had happened. We worked out that if I had lost Initiative, I would still have won...
Two questions: has this scenario happened to you? and what are the games you thought you'd get smoked in that you won in outrageous style?
Hit me.

Just thought about this last night, very very first time I ever played I was using Darth Maul with Quad, back when it was Champions and anything before that. 1 v 1 v 1. One guy is running bount hunters, Zuckuss Intuitions the door open and I get Missiles 30 by Boba and so I run the other way and Maul ends up basing Old Malak. Next turn, I Sith Rage and Quad, rolls of 18, 19, 20, 20. That means 3 crits with Maul and Malak is dead instantly.

the other day i was running a clone squad with gen. Ayla, (new)cody, Rex, (New) Gree. He was playing a rebel superstealth Army with Luke commando. HE didnt realize that he put luke without cover from me, and i took cody up (With greater Mobile, and double. First shot 20, second shot 19 so i decimated luke. In the end he won because he took out r2 and locked rex in a room. It was close though.

I hate to relive it for my opponents sake, but this is from our closed box MotF tourney on the 24th.
The game was in its last few minutes and all I had left was the new ewok warrior vs. Kit Fisto with 30hps and Anakin ghost. Keep in mind Kit has a natural 20 defense and the ewok attacks at 2.
He finished off Gen Solo with one hit and moved Kit 7 to base me by spending a force point. I rolled to attack, 20 - crit for 20 damage. I needed to win intiative, I did, then needed a 18 or better to kill him I rolled a 19. 5 pt ewok saves the game vs a jedi!

My opponent ends his turn by basing my Asajj Ventress, Sith Assassin with a somewhat weakened Bane (hit a couple times with Durge, Jedi Hunter). He wins initiative activates Bane and says anything but 1s. Rolls a 1, rerolls a 1, leaving Asajj alive. I activate her, use Sith Rage, and crit twice to take Bane out.

Response to original story:
It is funny. As long as 1 round has passed, bane kills obi-wan, and the rebel team out-activates the sith squad, this is almost an almost no lose scenario for rebels.
bane kills obi with 1 activation.
Luke uses Use the force twice the first time he hits Bane.
40 (first UTF) + 40 (flurry and UTF) +20 (13 attack vs 20 d)
Luke can get hit by bane (50*2) rage+double or rage+assault
Luke uses Use the force twice again
40 (first UTF) +40 (flurry and UTF) +20 (Flurry) +20 (double)
220 damage (given average of 1 miss in those rolls
the key is that Darth Bane has sith sorcery (but also, Luke has Jedi Mind Trick)
so of course it's not always gonna happen like that.
it is just not a given that bane wins.
