Shaak no question. A lot more offensive capabilities and Stealth make her a very strong choice.

Without the poll:

shaak ti, jedi master is currently used in 182 Republic squads including designers such as Billiv15 and LoboStele. saesee tiin, jedi master is currently used in 6 squads...

shaak ti, jedi master has a character rating of 8.4 and has been rated 119 times. saesee tiin, jedi master has a rating of 8.1 and has been rated 36 times...

Treebeards stats are a little misleading because Shaak has been around longer, but she is also way better so my vote went to her too. I so need to get ahold of her.

I would not say that my statement is misleading. How about another character from MotF?

Darth Vader, Sith Apprentice is currently in 59 squads including designers such as Billiv15. He also currently has a character rating of 8.3 and has been rated 46 times.

Shaak Ti is slightly better, but with all things, you have to look at the role they play. Tiin plays the roll of anti melee better. Not having to use FPs for Djem So Mastery is key. Shaak Ti has use FPs to Riposte. And surprise move can be very nasty, and not having to risk crits is good. And Mettle can be very helpful when facing a save 16.
A better comparison would be to Anakin, HoN.

Aye, and Anakin is not seen much for the same reason, extremely good at dealing with any Melee charcter, but not so good at doing anything else. A constant twin attack whenever they swing at him, but at the cost of being able to do anything to shooters.

I consider Shaak and Tiin together. I prefer Tiin as he has a built in movement breaker. He can engage shooters quite well as between that 6 spaces, and a possible 8 spaces on the move, he can move 14 spaces AND attack, or 6 spaces to chase down a shooter. Which is something that Shaak can't do as well, moving 8 spaces to hit once.

Put into perspective, that forces any shooter to stay adjcent to him as he can easily follow them if he bases them, as doing anything else gets him a free hit, before following them to hit them twice.

That is a incredably good advantage to any melee figure, something that people have not considered in GAW Kits costing. Can move 6 spaces for 4 attacks, 14 spaces for 2 attacks. Thats pretty amazing for any melee figure, to put in perspective, even the latest Ani can move 10 spaces and maintain his attacks. So using two of these figures in combination could be an effective causal combination. Though whether he's worth 58 points depends on whether the +4 +4 makes a difference in the thick of it.

But yeah, in compersion to Shaak, it depends what you want. A incredable movement breaker or surviable peice. Personally, I prefer the movement breaker, as it allows him to challange shooters and melee pieces when he finally does get there, rather then a simply alright melee figure that can get there over time, but in my opinon, is probably left behind in raw combat ability. He costs simply because he's so fluid in movement.

On that note, I would disreguard the votes, I think the arguement is very slanted in my honest opinon. People will just go "ZOMG HOT ALIEN Siin SUCKS" and vote her anyways. Reguardless whether she's actually any good. :/

The problem is, people judge minis to Shaak Ti and Kol, not taking into other strenghs.
And I wouldn't quite dismiss Ani of Nelvaan. He still has some good combos.

Kol I understand, but having never seen Shaak Ti used. I can't quite understand this. I just see Saesee as a more effective killer once he gets there and with the speed to get there.

As for Ani, I know he's pretty cool, he's uniquely simple. One look at him tells you what he can and can't do. He can deal out 40 consistantly and is generally really strong when engaged against a melee piece. He can win battles against more expensive figures like Mace Windu's verious forms, even capable of inflicting very serious damage to Grandmaster Luke before he falls since they infinate loop eachother and while Luke will hit him every time he can swing, Ani will rarely miss both times either.

Swap is also interesting, He can also learn rolling cleeve, but it's largely a ineffective ability anyway except to gain a little movement.

Just again, while he's exceptional at winning melee fights, he pays for it in compersion for protection and mobility, which is fair enough, as the General Ani is the same, only he has a commander effect to weild and defence, but minus the twin and with a built in greater mobile attack + momentum + Knights speed (am I right?) and Lightsaber defence... Actually, I think I put myself off using Champ by reciting that... @_@

Though really, after reading all that, aside from losing the second attack, this Ani is outright better in every inconsivable way. Since he draws upon pretty much all the three elements (damage, protection and mobility) without a great comprimise in any of them unlike most Jedi in this game. Though not quite as much as the real specialists (GOWK and Jet Obi both have mobility and protection at cost of attack, but both also have commander effects, GAW Kit has damage and mobility and some protection by his reckless stat boost by throwing yourself as close to 3 guys as possible, no commander effect.)

Ani of Nelvaan is a follower. So Padem, GOWK, and countless other Republic CEs work with him. And he has Grip, giving him a range option that is fun with the Instructor. The main issue I have with Gen Skywalker is that he pretty much has to remain mobile, with can be a bad thing once he is in the mix. Again, it depends on the squad and preference. I still like Ani of Nelvaan, he is pretty brutal in a Melee scrap.

Oh, and I would say 100 HP is a fairly obvious drawback.

I perfer Shaak, however I look at Annie HoN and Seasee JM as very good fig's too. It just comes down to roll and support. In a sweathearts squad Annie HoN is a great fig thanks to Padma Snowbunny's free attack. Shaak has a lot of survivablity options with stealth and block, seasee has the very powerful Djem So Mastery, that extra 10 damage is an awesome thing.

But I think Shaak has some great things going for her with Crowd Fighting, too, all of these characters are affordable and can basically access the same CE's.

So again it comes down to support and squad and the player, but again call me old fashioned but I think Shaak has the best balance of any of them

Kinda funny I was mentioned as support for Shaak Ti - I picked Saesee Tinn without much debate. For the cost, he's a better mini in my book. Djem so Mastery is a very nice bonus, and his cheap cost makes him a great swap piece. Shaak Ti is just enough more expensive that she has to be a primary attacker, whereas Seasee is more of a secondary with his cost - even though they will do similar amounts in a squad. Hence why I chose him.
