I've had a different answer from different people, but this question remains unanswered. does mas ammeda's booming voice make CEs boardwide, or do you have to be able to count squares?

the CE still can't go through walls, so you have to be able to draw a line to you ally without going through a wall, but it is still board wide

NO, booming voice does not count through doors... please read the glossary on "Booming Voice".. it allows you to count range from a CE to anywhere on the map that's not blocking the CE. If you have a CE that counts range 6... can you count range 6 through a door? HECK NO... with booming voice, instead of range 6, it's range infinite, as long as the CE is able to reach a character without it being blocked by a door or wall, etc.

Basically yea Kenred is correct, It extents the CE infinite but you sitll must count square from the commander to the character being effected without going through walls or closed doors etc.

but the line does not have to be straight, it can circle the whole map, but it CAN'T go through a wall, or a door if it is closed. Hope this clears it up for you.

Using the phrase "drawing a line" is a bit inaccurate here, it'd be better to say "be able to count range to".
