Rebels have had the worst record of any faction at Regionals this year - they've been barely run, and when they are run they haven't made the top 4. They've had a bunch of solid mid-range pieces from the v-sets, and UrbanJedi won a Regional last year with the all pre-vset Smug Commandos squad.
This thread is for you to answer the question; what Rebel squad would you bring to a Regional?

I have thought of using something like this:
--Cannnon Fodder-- 44 Master Yoda 38 Han Solo, Rebel General 27 Lobot 27 Luke Skywalker, Rebel Commando 23 Chewbacca, Fearless Scout 19 Princess Leia, Rebel Commando 9 General Dodonna 8 Obi-Wan Kenobi, Jedi Spirit 3 Ugnaught Demolitionist
Han and Leia are the main shooters with Yoda. Give Ataru to Luke so he has a better chance of hitting. Obi-Wan JS haunts Han for Mettle and lots of Surprise move. Chewie is a big scary, stealthy bodyguard.
I'm also looking forward to seeing how Luke, Hero of Endor will effect Rebel Squads in the future (but that won't have an effect on this regional season)
-Hero of Endor and Dagobah-- 44 Luke Skywalker, Hero of Endor 36 Yoda of Dagobah 27 Ferus Olin 27 Han Solo, Smuggler 27 Lobot 18 Twi'lek Black Sun Vigo 14 General Rieekan 6 Mouse Droid x2

I've only played this once, it's fun, although I wish Jan Ors was a bit more mobile. Basically I injure Leia, and use her CE to boost all the other unique Rebels. Lots of potential damage (Luke can drop 100 on something), although with low attack ratings are unfortunate. I don't know that it'd be my choice at a Regional, but I like it:
--Leia's CE-- 28 General Lando Calrissian 27 Luke Skywalker, Rebel Commando 19 Princess Leia, Rebel Commando 18 Jan Ors 16 Elite Rebel Commando 16 General Crix Madine 15 Momaw Nadon 15 SpecForce Technician 9 General Dodonna 8 Obi-Wan Kenobi, Jedi Spirit 8 Wicket 12 Mouse Droid x4 9 Ugnaught Demolitionist x3 (200pts. 18 activations)
For a tournament, I'd probably go Red Squadron Aces though.

It's kind of ironic in away because I really wanted to run the Rebels at the WNY regional but just couldn't bring myself to do so. I guess part of the problem IMO, is that their too cute with all of the camaraderie candy being doled out. Too bad new Biggs didn't have rapport to reduce the RSA's down 2-3 pts; would have made them a more desireable call to run down the line, as well as the new Zero of Endor. Still as corranhorn stated above, I would have run my "Running Rebs" had I been so inclined.
"Running Rebs"
Han, RG Luke, RC Admiral Ackbar, SC Princess Leia Crix Jan the Man Juno ERC x3 Mon Cal Tech Spec x3
There's still time for the Rebels to make their mark or at least some noise, as there should be a Regional/s in DE and OH in July.

I was considering running Rebels at the DE Regional, but I'm flip-floppy so who knows.

I ran rebels this year at Frosty-Con. Granted it wasn't a regional, but it had more players than several regionals.
Took second in a very tough pack of competitors.
I ran:
--Dass Boot '13-- 32 Dass Jennir 27 Lobot 27 Luke Skywalker, Rebel Commando 19 Princess Leia, Rebel Commando 18 Twi'lek Black Sun Vigo 16 Elite Rebel Commando 16 General Crix Madine 15 SpecForce Technician 14 General Rieekan 9 General Dodonna 6 Mouse Droid x2
(199pts. 12 activations)

Yeah, that's cool - I never think about Dass Jennir as I don't have him. On the same note, Lou won Capital City Champs this January with: Quote:IG88A IG88 Assassin Luke RC Leia RC ERC Crix Dodonna Juno Obi Ghost 2x ugo

Its a solid squad all around. 2 Disruptive pieces running around will cause major headaches.

--Specforce Techforce-- 38 Han Solo, Rebel General 27 Lobot 23 Crix Madine, SpecForce Commander 20 K-3PO 60 SpecForce Infiltrator x4 15 SpecForce Technician 9 General Dodonna 8 Gran Raider x2
Preferred Reinforcements: (Lobot) 8 R7 Astromech Droid (Lobot) 9 Mouse Droid x3 (Lobot) 3 Ugnaught Demolitionist
(200pts. 17 activations)

I'm not a fan of Dass, generally speaking. I find him fragile and insufficiently powerful to make up for that fragility. However, he certainly does look good in evil Tim's squad.

Kinda awesome! Yep. In that thread Hutts linked, you were apparently the automatic choice for the evil one.

Been a while since I played but, I used to love the challenge the Rebels posted.
Han Solo - Rebel Hero (35) Luke - Rebel Commando (27) General Madine (16) Bothan Commando x4 (64) Elite Rebel Commando x2 (32) Rebel Officer (13) Mouse droid x2 (6)
200 Points, 13 Activations.
Now, if memory serves, the Bothan's all get to move first as long Madine lives with the CE giving a nice bonus, plus the bonus from Han as well and the Officer so as long as I play clever, I can do some serious damage in round 1 and then hope and pray. Luke benefits as he is a follower and the mouse droids allow me to keep Han and Crix out the way for the time being. Its not the best Rebel squad I ever made but its different. Dont see much love for crix and the bothan's these days.
