If you've looked, you'll notice that the Master Windu squad is pretty weak. That's intentional. The others should all be pretty evenly matched. Which one do you think is strongest?

The tournament will be me (I'll take Master Windu) and 5 essentially brand new players. A couple have played once or twice before a long time ago. Second question, then, is whether the squads are too complicated for players to play them after just 30-45 minutes of a learning game.

Chewie: Looks good, Walking Carpet might be a little hard to remember, and I wouldn't expect them to use Versatility.

Plagueis: Looks great; Plagueis has a lot going on that may not all get used, but as long as they have the important parts down (Double/Twin, Lightning, CE), it looks like a great starter squad (way to use Sith Troopers, too!)

Jango: Looks good!

Han and 3PO: Lots of neat tricks, but pretty simple. Looks good.

Master Windu: Nice and straightforward - I don't think they'll have to think too hard about what be on the lookout for from your squad. Looks great.

Boba Fett: Looks good!

Thanks for the feedback!

Looks like we're good to go, then.

Feels like the Plagueis squad should do well against the shooter squads, but there's a melee squad with undeniable damage that will cause it massive problems. Looks like a fun set up.

Hm. Just checked Plagueis' card and Soresu Style is not spelled out. That may make it too much for a new player.

I'm going to let it go. Wish that newbie some luck. The rest of the squad is pretty simple.

I just added another squad - Mandalorian squad with Boba, Mercenary Commander. How does it look? For each of these squads I asked players their favorite Star Wars character and built a squad for them. Two different players chose Boba. I don't want two Assassin for Hire in the tournament, and I also don't want Disintegration in the tournament. So I went this route:

--Boba MC (6 player tournament)--
57 Boba Fett, Mercenary Commander
24 Crusader Blademaster
19 Mandalorian Scout
17 Mandalorian Gunslinger
8 Taung Warrior

(125pts. 5 activations)

Tournament kicks off in just a few hours. Last chance to fix anything if you have any suggestions for overpowered or underpowered squads.

8-player tournament ("Happy Old Year Tournament") kicks off in a couple hours. Same format and same squads as above, except for Plagueis. Instead of Plagueis:

--Darth Maul (125pt Tournament)--
57 Darth Maul, Sith Infiltrator
20 Sith Trooper Captain
18 Gloom Walker Sniper
13 Gloom Walker Infiltrator
16 Sith Trooper x2

(124pts. 6 activations)
http://www.bloomilk.com/Squad/181836/darth-maul--125pt-tournament-

And to get to 8, add the Mace squad above and add this one:
--Luke and Rey (125pt Tournament)--
48 Luke Skywalker, Galactic Hero
29 Ganner Rhysode
25 Rey
18 Jedi Trainee
5 Galactic Alliance Recruit

(125pts. 5 activations)
http://www.bloomilk.com/Squad/181840/luke-and-rey--125pt-tournament-

Any guesses on standings for the 8-player tournament?

Luke and Rey was the winning squad in last night's tournament. I'll try to do a longer write up later.
