This is a squadbuilding competition. The winner will be determined based on the same rules that are used in the CCC (customs) competitions. Everyone can enter and everyone can vote. But you can't win unless you vote. When you vote, vote for a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
You are building a thematic Republic squad from the prequel trilogy. Feel free to enter a squad you've already built if it fits the criteria.
Entry deadline: January 12 Voting deadline: January 15
The rules:
* Your squad must be thematically accurate. Characters must be from the appropriate era, and it must make sense that they would work together. They do not have to have actually worked together in canon/legends, but they can't be enemies, and they can't be from different eras. If they are Unique they must be from the source material (e.g. Gha Nhackt would not be able to be in a squad from the prequel trilogy - only from the Clone Wars cartoon). Most Fringe non-Uniques can be used in most factions/eras. As long as the species/role makes sense for your squad, you're fine.
* All WotC and Vset pieces are legal. Squad size is 200pts, and squads must be legal in addition to making thematics sense.
* Being thematically accurate is mandatory, but as long as you clear the bar for that (your squad makes sense as something that happened or could have happened), the judging should be based on which squad is the strongest squad.
* Give your squad a meaningful name. If you win, the name will be entered into the tournament brackets later on. In your squad comments, explain why your squad is so great.
This will be a long series of squadbuilding competitions from all throughout the Star Wars universe. At the end, the winning squads will be entered into a single-elimination tournament to find The Best Thematic Squad Of Them All. For some of the squadbuilding competitions, the era as well as a faction or source material is specified. For others, the ones noted with just a *, only the era is specified.
Here is the schedule. We will not be going 1 through 32, though. We'll save the starred competitions until the end and start with the ones where a faction or source material is specified. With about 2 per week, it should take about 4 months to fill in the bracket:
Prequel Trilogy Era 1. Republic 2. Seps 3. * 4. *
OT Era 5. Rebel 6. Imperial 7. Fringe 8. *
Sequel Trilogy Era 9. Resistance 10. First Order 11. * 12. *
Live-Action "Era" (Mandalorian/Solo/Rogue One) 13. The Mandalorian TV show 14. Solo 15. Rogue One 16. *
Early Old Republic Era (Up through KotOR2) 17. Old Republic 18. Sith 19. * 20. *
Late Old Republic Era (KotOR or later - yes there is overlap between the early and late OR eras) 21. Old Republic 22. Sith 23. * 24. *
Legends "Era" (sequel trilogy era or later) 25. Vong 26. New Republic 27. * 28. *
Cartoon "Era" (Clone Wars/Rebels) 29. Clone Wars 30. Rebels 31. Mandalorian faction 32. *

http://www.bloomilk.com/Squad/221736/qui-gon-s-noble-victoryBasically what if the battle of Duel of Fates had gone the way of the light side. There are a lot of interesting abilities in this era, with swap, bombad Gungan, and the shield to give Qui-Gon and Obi some more defensive capabilities.

I’m in, here is a more thematic (less Lobot-heavy) version of the awesome SUPEROBIKIN squad that eats shooters for breakfast. http://www.bloomilk.com/Squad/185965/activate-superobikin-

Everyone who votes judges for themselves, but I would leave it off my ballot for having Keeper of the Whills in there. Unless it was in a movie and I missed it.

1. Uggie Demo 2. Mando 3. adamb0nd
Caedus, I love theme of yours, but with Agen Kolar in there and no movement breaker it's hard to give it a vote. GG, yours is just the opposite. I think it might be the strongest squad submitted, but for me Keeper of the Whills means it didn't pass the thematic test.
