At the start of the skirmish, choose one Unique living ally. That ally gains Force 1 and Lightsaber Deflect; it is considered to have a Force rating for the rest of the skirmish. While within 6 squares of this character, the ally get +4 Attack and +10 Damage.

Glossary Text

During setup, choose a Unique living ally. If the chosen ally does not have a Force rating, it gets 1 Force point, is considered to have a Force rating for the rest of the skirmish, and gains the Lightsaber Deflect Force power. If that ally already has a Force rating, it just gets 1 force point and gains the Lightsaber Deflect Force power. While the chosen ally is within 6 squares of this character, that ally gets a +4 bonus to Attack and a +10 bonus to Damage. This character can't choose itself for the effect.
