Dray with Mettle is the ultimate interference piece, and with Nomi's block and deflect as backup, that's a decent wall. The Commander and the Captain, as well as Nomi's Battle Meditation, turns your soldiers and guards into quite the little army. With Squad Assault, the Soldiers are double attacking at +10, and if you combine fire, +16. Threw the scout in there for an extra -4 defense after combining, too. plus, Soldiers/Guards have 20/21 defense in cover.
