Is there any possible way to swap someone in with, panaka or thrawn, then swap them out in the same turn?

Only if you are able to give Panake/Thrawn an extra turn, likely through Dominate.

Yea, dominate is your best bet in that instance. I've played with the idea of Revan SL and Sidious SL for sith, but its very pricey to do such.

Its not impossible, just very complicated and not worth the effort.
Sidious SM pawns a B'omarr Monk, Monk dominates Sidious, Sidious swaps in someone, Sidious' turn ends, Monk's turn ends, Sidious swaps again, Sidious' first turn ends.
Of course, no attacks take place during this whole process, so its really worthless.

Run Revan, do some damage, swap in Sid, triple attack, then swap whatever your choosing. Poor placement of MDs can really screw you up tho.
