Situation: a character with MotF 2 also has Riposte. He's hit by a melee attack. Can he Riposte, attack, and then Riposte again? I'm leaning towards no but I need a solid reason why/why not. Thanks!

I see no reason why not, infact my friend and I had to do that just last game, but it was more fun because it went attack, djim so, repost, djimso, repost, djimso and so on lol. I think you can.

I think you can. In your situation, each riposte or djem so generates a new attack, and each new attack is another opportunity for djem so/riposte. So you played it right - assuming the character had MotF high enough for all the ripostes. The OP is asking about whether you can riposte twice to a single attack. I don't know, but it sounds like you are describing a different situation.

No. You can only Riposte once per attack. You can Riposte more than once a turn, but you have to be hit with different attacks each time. This essentially falls under the stacking rules, as you can't benefit from an ability/power more than once when it would take effect. So you could use Riposte again if your first Riposte was cancelled by Force Defense/Absorb.

Wait -- is DB describing riposte/djem between two characters or the same character useing riposte; djem; riposte; etc. over and over again after the same attack?

I assumed he meant between two characters.
