Apparently someone who doesn't appreciate the work put into the v-sets decided to go and rate all the r&r characters a 1, and with most pieces having a handful of ratings its made some good pieces rated less than 6......

Let us fix this sabotage and rate the new pieces as they deserve. :)

It's the equivalent of all of Bill's squads getting multiple ratings of 1s just because certain people don't like him. There is no way it will be fixed so it's something all of us have learned to expect.

Is there any way to trace the accounts that are doing this? One thing I don't really like about it is that it makes it harder for new players to work out what pieces are good. For example, I just did a search for all the pieces in Masters of the Force and Renegades and Rogues, and ranked them by their rating. Currently:

i) there are eight pieces from Masters of the Force in the top ten. There are some really good Masters of the Force pieces (Ganner Rhysode is rightfully number one), but I think overall it's misleading over the comparative strength of the sets. IMO, Renegades and Rogues has a much higher proportion of strong pieces than Masters of the Force, one of the weaker Wizards sets, did.
ii) Mace Windu LotLS is rated only 0.2 rating points higher than Master Windu. This new Windu has pretty much everything that Master Windu has, except Force Repulse 3, and is pretty much a direct upgrade of a previously useless piece, and there's just no comparison.
iii) In Old Republic pieces, the mediocre Jedi Instructor is currently rated 0.71 points higher than the great new shooter Atton 'Jaq' Rand. The useless Jedi Sith Hunter is rated above the new Carth Onasi.

I guess the best way to fix these confusing inequities is to vote. But it would be good to stop the 1-spamming too, as it's confusing.

I've only rated a handful of characters but the ones I marked lower were (nothing below 4 though - generally I never rate anything a 1 or 10):
Lord Kaan - While he may strive to prove himself, his real strength was in his charisma, which is really lacking from this piece, so to me it's not a very good representation of the character.

Count Dooku, Seperatist Leader - I get that it's the Arena Dooku, but even in that scene he isn't really the puppet master that this rendition brings, and he's just too much like CS Sidious, so again poor representation of character to me.

HK-47, Assassin Droid - The version on here is missing the CE, but it really isn't a charcter that should have a CE anyway.

While those Pieces may be good (Kaan and Dooku are certainly strong Stat-wise), to me they have Identity issues which were factored in in the rating.

Out of those I gave Dooku the lowest, if it wasn't for lack of renewal, he would really outshine Sidious whose entire role during that period was manipulation and deception (which means no character should ever bring Holosid to the seps)!

That said personally I feel DOTF was done better than R&R, but that's my opinion.

Guys don't worry about the childish behavior of a few people. It's not worth your time. By this point I'm sure that the people who put in all the hard work to bring us yet another outstanding and exciting addition to the game are accustomed to this sort of behavior (case in point Bill's squads getting 1's from the haters).

This sort of thing has always happened. Obviously Boba Fett, Bounty Hunter doesn't deserve to get a 1. Same with Mouse Droids and Mas Amedda. None of them deserve 1's regardless of what you think of them but it happened anyway. All of those characters have stayed at the top of the rankings though because they get ranked appropriately by the vast majority of people. Same thing will happen with the R&R, Theed and Epic characters.

The 1's and 10's will work themselves out. Eventually with 200+ votes, it will give a decent average of ratings.

I was upset to see that too but then you have to think about the averages. I doubt theres a single mini out of the 900+ who doesn't have 1 or more ratings of a 1. Obviously there are a very few minis that bad but most dont deserve it. Eventually the true rating will prevail and the 1 just gets mixed in with everything else. After a week or so of more ratings it will probably make little difference.

Don't worry about ratings, either on the figures or elsewhere. Some are legitimate opinions, others are just being childish (1 or 10s, usually). It's not worth fixing, because they really don't matter.

"Fixing" the 1's might feel good, but the ratings are just a rough guide. The only way to get a good handle on a piece is to play it or play against it. (Captain Rex has ten 1's)
