How would War Coordinator and Slave work? Would the chazrach always be considered within 6 of a commander? OR Would the -2 Def. always be active? Yes, I realize the WC states "bonus" not "penalty" (but for game purposes are they technically different?). OR Would it not be affected at all (because it IS a penalty)? Thanks in advance.

I think the intent would be that the Chazrach would be considered within 6 of commanders due to WC, but it does pose an interesting question now that you bring it up.
We'll see what Sithborg has to say when he comes along (or one of the Designers)

I'd think that WC does not affect Slave. WC says "Special abilities that grant bonuses to Yuuzhan Vong within 6 squares". Slave is a special ability, but it does not even grant a bonus, much less grant a bonus to Yuuzhan Vong within 6 squares. It penalizes instead of granting a bonus, and it affects "this character" instead of "Yuuzhan Vong within 6 squares". So it fails on 2 parts of the definition.
But we should still wait to hear from Sithborg/the designers.

Yuuzhan Vong War Coordinator has no effect on Slave. It doesn't grant anything to a character within 6, it affects the character with Slave. This is similar to how Booming Voice has no effect on GOWK's Commander Effect.

If you want to feel better, while judging a sealed at GenCon I had a question I was uncertain of and talked to another judge and in the end we were both wrong on it, lol. Luckily it didn't change the outcome of the game, but still sucks.
