Initially I was thinking that droids wouldn't be subject to the +10 damage bonus that allies get with Advanced Battle Meditation but then I realized that ABM isn't a Commander Effect therefore droids probably do benefit, correct?

Yes, but only if they have a printed damage rating of 10 or more.
