Armoured Spacesuit, Resilient, Droid, Parry, Evade.

Which of these can stop or prevent a flurry attack?

Nothing can really prevent a Flurry from happening. Certain things can make it more difficult for Flurry to occur.

Droid, Resilient, & Armored Spacesuit require someone with Flurry to roll a natural 20 for Flurry to trigger.

Parry, Evade, Soresu, Makashi, etc. negate the damage of the attack and not the attack itself. So Jarael can use Parry stop stop from being damaged, but if Mace keeps rolling a 17 or higher, he will keep making Flurry attacks.

Force Alter can possibly stop a Flurry from occuring by making the opponent re-rolling his attack.

Pheromones can possibly stop a Flurry as long as its directed at the character w/ Pheromones.

Bombad Gungan can possibly take advantage of someone's Flurry and make the opponent hurt themselves.

Bottomline, when someone gets a Flurry attack, the real question that comes up is "Are there any legal targets left to attack?".

Sincerely,

Droid is different. It only prevents the doubling of damage, it won't stop Flurry with Deadly or Vaapad.

There are also some weird interactions with the targetting rules with a Shooter with Flurry, the Resolving Effects section of the FAQ should clear it up.

Thanks guys!

Oh wait........ does Soresu Mastery work against melee attacks as well as ranged or only against ranged.
I remember that it used to work against everything, then only against ranged attacks or DCI tournaments/regionals.

I have no idea what it works against now.

This came up a couple of weeks ago here: http://www.bloomilk.com/Forums/default.aspx?g=posts&t=9933. For tournament/SWMGPA games, SSM still only works against non-melee attacks. For informal games, your playgroup can choose.

I think the general rule is... use the tournament rules. Unless you're playing a new player. Give them GOWK and then try to get through it. BigGrin
