I'm pretty sure they called it quits on it a while back, but there is a decent version for PSP that has the ground and space battles in the same game.

Battlefront III was scrapped when Pandemic went under. There are currently no plans for another company to revive the series.

Word is, Spark Unlimited has it now but it will not be announced until TOR has peaked. Check the Spark site for vague info on their upcoming game, which looks like it well could be BF3. Here's hoping!

"Spark is looking for a senior designer for a 3rd Person Action/Adventure sequel in a high-profile science fiction franchise currently in development for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC markets"

TuggieGameReviews on youtube has an ongoing series on this speculation.

IGN hasn't posted a story on Battlefront III since it's cancellation in 2009.
