Now, to start things, I don't want this to turn into a savage debate over the prequels and the clone wars animated series, I just want to see what input people can give on clones for v-sets........
I sorta find it depressing that we get so many imperial troop types but we've only got one clone trooper in the sets.....
Even if it isn't a troop piece I think we all could vouch for a Commander Bly as he is a major character in the comics and has appaeared in the movies cartoon and such......we got 2 grees but no Bly
I think a Commander Neyo with a commander effect that can make the saelucami troops playable would be awesome
I'd also like to see some of the unique troops from the series like waxer and boil and Denal
I know we got the commandos and will get the rest of the squad but I want my army to be modernized, not just my special forces
I think an easy option would be to boost the CoTF pieces
We could make an updated Utapau trooper and call it a Ghost Company Clone Trooper and give him the trooper keyword so Cody can use his rapport
That also makes it easy to field armies because you won't need to make a dozen customs......
Also, a CE that could boost clone troopers into playability would be beast
Say, a commander Deviss who gives allies name clone trooper squad assault, squad cover and squad firepower

I like the break in Clones though. we had a lot of them between all the sets. The same could be said for Imperial pieces, but they are also unique in armor and appearance. Clones are more universal like that... they really do all look the same, with the only difference being color markings. The only times we see different clones are the Scout Trooper types and the water based ones and ARF guys too. Which we did get representations of (well not the water guys)
I'd like to see the types of clones we have yet to see before getting more named commanders.
Generally I like new uniques, but in the case of clones I'd rather more of an actual variety still.
oh.. but yeah I do want a Bly, he deserves a piece for sure.

Any idea on a commander effect? I was thinking maybe an "allied star corps troopers gain twin attack" to provide awesome synergy with general Aayla and a second part that just gives order 66 characters careful shot, both as a second synergy with Aayla and to somewhat downsize the potential abuse that double twin star corps clones would get with Rex haha

I've always considered the Clone Commander in the RotS set to be Bly. We just need the V-set makers to make him a card.

However as far as the Clones go we have 19 different ones not counting the Commandos or Arc Troopers. Yet we only have 10 Different Stormtroopers. Do you mean the Imperials as a whole? Not sure what your talking about. If you do a search with the Faction/Non-Unique/Human parameters then the Republic has 46 mini's and the Empire has 47. Could you elaborate on your line of thought there.

My only defense about there being more variety of clones is that the clone were less cookie cutter than the stormys. Their units got to have markings/paintjobs on their uniforms and the stormy's had to go to just white (with the exception of a couple).

Even though he had all the weapons already on his back, he would have slapped on a bow and added some explosive arrows if he had the space.

Yes I agree, I need more Republic dogs to shoot up.... I mean yes clones are a good idea.
Bly is the obvious one but there is literally a commander per jedi so lots of different options (here's looking at you Ponds).
Commander effect for Bly: (too much twin these days)
Non-unique clone followers gain deadeye and/or careful shot
