I have recently acquired a small hobby drill. But I am at a loss concerning what to use to pin the arms back on minis once I have drilled a hole in them. Any help?

simply as the term suggests. you can use a clipper to cut small pieces of a pin, or paper clip down to use for it.

I bought some map pins to use, they are also used for sewing. They are pretty thin and can be sniped several times due to there length. That way I can get at least 3 to 4 pieces of pins to use from each full sized map pin. ThumpUp

Ok, what sort of clippers should I get in order to cut paper clips up?

I use wire cutters, they came in my tool kit for school. Small tin snips should be fine. You don't need anything too big. The pins are fairly thin so you don't need any thing huge to cut through them. Just make sure they are sharp, otherwise you might not have a clean cut which could cause small jags. Little pieces of pin's that may snag. If so you might have to file down any small pieces of pin that might snag in the plastic. Some thing small like a fingernail file can be used to get rid of snags and even help to make a slightly sharp point to make it easy to insert in the plastic. ThumpUp

They should work on paper clips too. I use the pins because they are thinner than paper clips. The thicker the material you use the less likely you'll have a clean cut. Some types of paperclips will crimp as they are cut which will cause the metal they are made of to flatten. Again that is where you will want to file it down to a point. Smile

Say, do people only pin pieces of a mini together if they have small modeling drills, or can the holes also be made with needles or something since sWMinis are of a softer plastic?

I used to use a sewing needle to make holes and bits of staples to pin. I needed to hold the needle in a pair of pliers to keep it steady, though. A modelling drill is much easier to use, but not necessary.
