Apparently if you hit someone with an attack, you are allowed to spend a force point and reroll it.
for example, the new Mace rerolling for the big crit.
I'm confused because I was sure I got it from this site that you couldn't do it and last night was told by someone who got from this site that you could do it.
I'm cool with it either way, I just had to find out for myself.
cheers

You can use a Force Point to reroll any attack, whether it's a hit or not.

But if you do reroll the hit don't you NEED to take the new roll which could turn that hit into a miss?

In this situation I was trying to hit Dash, who had 30HP left, with the new Mace, who only needs 2s to hits, I think it's worth the risk of taking the reroll - your chances of getting the crit are 4 times your chance of missing altogether.

This is because when you reroll a die (unless otherwise specified), the roll before is discarded and acts as though it was never rolled at all. Sincerely, Jester007

Added note, `say your tryin to end someone wth a crit for example down to your last figs & if they get a turn again they might beat you, if you have a figure with force points & u go to hit the enemy & its HIT but not a crit, you can also spend a force point to reroll ,you can spend a force point to reroll any attack just as long as theres not a SA or CE stoppin rerolls etc. Good combo to use is Leia Skywalker, Jedi Knight & Wedge Antilles w/ Shado Vao & Kol Skywalker, they both have renewel, Shado is better though because he can deflect adjacent & also block plus evade from wedge but Kol is also a beast because he has MOTF 2, this squad i used about 40 times & still undefeated with it, its just so hard to hit Kol & shado & they are melee pieces. Now i have tried against these new abilities or pieces there might be a thing that can really hurt this squad out now i havent made any new ones or even kept up on the new SA's or CE's but its still a good squad, check out my squads when u want i had alot of the top 10 of all pts, use leia to reroll, he misses again he can MOTF & block again, only thing u cant do with these combo's w/ leia is if you spend a FP to reroll you cant use leia to reroll a failed roll &on a FP reroll, its just meant for regular rerolls misses also with leia you can reroll a successful roll its only for rules that fail, but force points you can reroll anytime you want if you hit or miss or wanna go for a crit, & again if you have MOTF 2 or 3 rerolling to try for a crit then you can reroll as many times as you want untill the MOTF runs out.
