Some characters can do many things well and thus serve several purposes. One superb example is Zuckuss, Bounty Hunter.

I find Zuckuss, BH doing FIVE different things for me:

1. Helps bring in Reserves with his Anticipation allowing initiative rerolls.

2. Reveals Stealthed enemies with his Force Sense.

3. Glues scary enemies in place with his Snare Rifle.

4. Picks off important enemy pieces with his Accurate Shot.

5. Is good for Thrawn-swap because he can go the extra distance with his Intuition.

In fact, rarely have I seen a piece that does so many different tasks so well. Any other such multi-faceted characters come to mind for anyone else?

Master Kavar

1. Total Beatstick
2. Can Heal
3. Stun a boatload of opponents at once
4. Protect himself and his squad from Enemy force powers
5. Shut opponents right out of Force Powers
6. Killer CE

The only thing this guy can't do is get his hands on enough FPs

The mouse droid does as much as it costs or more:
1. It relays those important command effects.
2. It's point cost (which could be lower than printed) and status as a fringe droid make it a fine choice for bring in lots of activations when using Reserves or Reinforcements.
3. Its very high Defense score makes it a very good blocker that stifles pieces many times its cost.

That's three things from a three point mini. You couldn't ask for much more. The Ugnaught Demolitionist and Rodian Brute are also very useful when you look at their point cost.

Agreed, which is why I think Thon is better, considering Thon costs one less. 1/2 of the things you mentioned require FPs...which I'm sure Kavar doesn't have enough to spend all at once :p

On topic...:

Exar Kun
1. Total Beatstick + best overall base stats in the game
2. Can literally move anywhere around the board w/out swap
3. Makes Savages useful AND actually dangerous
4. Can stun all enemies around him

Doesn't seem like a lot, but when they're used together he's CRAZY.

Wat Tambor, Techno Union Foreman
-reserves! The you actually get
-Droid mark, makes the destroyer Droid mark two a lot nicer to soak up shots
-evade so acts as a bulle shield for your commanders (Grievous DAC)
-Twin makes him a surprising shooter
-repair 20 very useful

All around this character can help bring in many different Droids, then either repair, mark them, or fight alongside them, all the while being relatively hard to take down
