Would somebody please direct me to an explanation, or explain how the Yammosk interacts with Slave (on the Chazrach). Thank you.

It does not. Slave affects the character who has it, not specifically a Yuuzhan Vong character.

Also, YV Collaborator is not affected because the range is 4, not 6, correct?

Puppet Master, like Slave, would not be affected by the Yammosk either, right? It does not specifically affect Vong. Sorry to be redundant, I just want to be sure. Just because it is on a Vong character does not mean that it works with the YWC, the ABILITY has to specifically affect Vong characters. I think I've got it. YV Collaborator WOULD work, if the range was 6, even though it is not on a Vong character, it affects Vong specifically.
