Even better as it goes through just about everything (SS, TPM etc...), see my earlier thread regarding VSR.

Thanks SB for the update, as this is not an insignificant change to VSR's mechanics.

I guess I'm still confused about how Verpine Shatter Rifle works. Are you ignoring the effects of cover entirely making anyone w/n LOS a legal target (so long as you aren't adjacent to an enemy)?

Correct. You ignore cover for targeting (yet they still get the bonus to cover) and as long as no one is adjacent you can attack anyone you can see. So if you have a single file line of 5 Stormtroopers and a GenoHarradan with the GenoHarradan at the end, you ignore all the cover and can attack any of them.

Another question about the Verpine Shatter Rifle.
Bear with me as I'm realitively new to the game and I'm looking for some clarification here so I'm sorry if this is an obvious/dumb question. Captain Ordo has twin AND gives twin to ARC troopers along with the VSR. So my question is, do you get to use twin WITH the VSR?
Personally, I would say no, since the VSR is a SA with "Replaces Turn", but after some discussion with others I'm not 100% certain.
Either way, yes or no, can someone please also give me a brief explanation as to why the answer is yes or no? I'm not trying to debate anything, just trying to get a handle on the rules and the logic behind them.
Thanks!

Thanks! Yes, you do get to use Twin along with VSR. That's because you get your Twin attack ANY time you make an attack, regardless of how that attack was generated. If the attack was generated just from attacking on your turn, you get the Twin. If that attack was generated from some other Special Ability (like VSR), you still get the Twin because you still made an attack. If that attack was an Attack of Opportunity, you still get the Twin because you made an attack. If that attack was generated from a Force Power (like Lightsaber Throw or Lightsaber Assault), you get the Twin. When you have Twin attack, if you make an attack, you get a second attack on the same target, pretty much no matter what (unless the first attack defeated the target, since now it's no longer there, so you just lose the Twin).

Thank you Echo24. I appreciate the quick and descriptive answer! I'm glad I asked for clarification, and I'm glad to hear that it gives the VSR twin. In the hands of an ARC sniper... NASTY!!!! Thanks again!!!

I was wondering about Twin with Flurry. I was under the impression that the figure you defeated is not removed from play until you are totally done with that instance of attack. So if I attack with Mandalore the Ultimate and defeat an opponent with the first attack that you could still make the second twin to see if you can get a crit and gain a flurry attack. Am I wrong?

No. Flurry happens before damage is ever applied. Twin happens after the attack is fully resolved (which includes removing a defeated character). This is covered in the Resolving Effects section of the FAQ.
