An interesting scenario played out today, and I was wondering.... 30 point Xizor Succesfully Phermoned the targeting of Twin attack.... Does the attacker have to make 1 or 2 saves? My thought was 1 since no attack took place and it was just a targeting, but of course, the gentlemen I played voted otherwise. But it just made me wonder, who was right?

You resolve Pheremones for each attack. This is in the FAQ.

Ok, So I get that that is the rule now..... But it just doesn't make since. Twin Attack is triggered when you "make" an attackm which in my eyes means rolling the dice..... If Pheremones cancels you rolling a dice, how does the "Twin" attack come in? I'm proably just missing something here but I'm just curious now.

The glossary entry gives the reason: (my emphasis) Quote:Glossary Text
This special ability cancels an attack made by a living enemy within 6 squares against this creature. The attacker can resist this effect with a save of 11. Roll the save immediately after the attack is declared but before making the attack roll. That attack is still considered to have been made this turn, and the affected character still spends Force points (if any) used in that attack. Since the attack is considered to have been made even if "canceled" by Pheremones, effects that trigger whenever an attack is made still happen. And I just now noticed an interaction with Flanking Attack. Now I'm curious...

Ok, I guess it makes since. So in reality. They roll the attack, and if the attack hits, then the Pheremones ability comes into play.Good, But not as good as I was thinking, back to the drawing board

This is covered in the Resolving Effects section of the FAQ.
