My son and I were playing minis over the weekend and I threw a squad together for him that would be easy and fun for him to use (he's 7). I partially wanted to see how Silri would fare against GOWK and it was going great until I made a mistake and then my son decimated my squad.

I know this squad has weaknesses, particularly when facing skilled opponents but I think its going to have plenty of good matchups and be tough to take down at the local (less competitive) level.

I would love to hear what people think.

65 Mace Windu, LotLS
55 GOWK
32 Eeth Koth
24 RC Atin
24 RC Fi

No need for Mas. Keep Atin and Fi w/n 6 of each other camped out in the back to try and pick people off. Atin's accurate shot and final shot can be very helpful. Fi's Advanced Door Gimmick will help you get your melee beats into wherever they need to. Run GOWK, Mace and Eeth up and smash your opponent. Eeth gets tough to kill w/ Embrace of Pain making the extra 6 points above the cost of a JWM worth it (plus he still has LS Assault and Riposte). Mace is up to a 30 defence in cover.

Any feedback appreciated.

I think it's a good squad for a starter to use and get used to the game since the melee attackers either have a high defense or have a good chance of not taking damage, and the shooters have stealth. So it allows a learner to make mistakes that aren't game enders.

Obviously door control can be an issue and it might be better to lose Atin to throw in R2 and some Spaartis. Plus R2 can tow the beefiness that is Mace into the action and grant Mace GOWK's ce so he retains that high defense.

Gonna try this squad out with my lad. This will give him a chance to practice with melee pieces; while keeping some shooters in the mix. Also he won't get buried with lots of acts to manage. ThumpUp
