I am in sw Missouri(same area as dean). Our gaming store used to have around 20 regularly but doesn't even hold events anymore. I have been trying to keep interest up here, but ppl are slowly leaving. Any suggestions for rebuilding interest would be appreciated. There are only three of the old group left and a couple new guys.

Ok, so here's an update on vset 4 fundraising: We've raised about $1300 so far, with the goal being about $3800. We had some extra from the last run, so that will be added to the $1300, and we are only about halfway done (still have about 6 weeks to raise money), so we should be able to hit our goal in time. But please go donate! If you like the super high quality of printed sets we put out, that's the only way we can keep it up.

As for my interest in the game: I can't play as much as I want due to school. Regardless, I really think that 20 years from now I'll still be playing SWM :)

Our game group meets regularly one afternoon a week, but SW is only played one of those nights a month anymore. We only play casual, but two of our friends only really want to play tier one teams regardless, so even that one night is grudgingly played. Unfortunately the V-sets aren't helping much. A third friend in the group has sworn off using them at all due to what he feels are a lot of unbalanced new characters. For myself, I quite like a lot of V-set cards although I have to agree with him about certain ones. We've also had some issues with proxies and recommended minis. Basically we haven't given up, but there's just not as much interest in the game as there once was.
I don't know of any other SW play going on locally except for us, but our gaming community is spread out over a good distance so it's possible there are other SWMs players out there.

Got a small group together the weekend before last and brushed the dust off of the collection, and it was a blast. I know we had talked about playing a while ago and never got around to it, but I have no clue what the current state of affairs in VA is like. I haven't even been down to Atomic Comics in forever, do they still run games?
